Work till 6, then home, then to Beaverton, then garage and hopefully some pics you can chop into the tub.

PLEASE SOMEBODY BUY SOME COVERS, please.....

EDIT, I dont think those are OE. I have another idea. Pics tonight at 11

Underseat drivers side

Mine are bolt adjusted. So I am probably no help. Bolt adjusted means tilt seat forward (or remove seat entirely) loosen 4 bolts and knock seat forward or rearward to suit. Pretty low tech.

Those seats Shane is selling. What color are they...red? Would they fit a 1962 FST?

cool yeah I think the 64 was the year it changed to a little lever on the front that allowed the limited adjustments :D

the good the bad and the ugly :D

well the good news is the fj40 is looking sexy :D

the bad is that i think my fuel pump is wonk.
Basically it is not pulling gas from the tank to any where :(

I put in 2 gallons of gas in the tank, and started turning it over...
No gas reaching even at the tank outlet ( old clear lines ) nor any of the glas bowl fuel filter or carb bowl...

Tried to prime the pump mechanically, put a little gas in the inlet with a turkey baster... nada, then the hand primmer felt like it was not working at all, think it just gave up ( the diaphragm i guess )

So i think the game plan is to get a working pump from someone that i can pop on for now , and try to sort out the other period correct one later...
any one have a mechanical pump that will fit up to a 64 they wanna sell?

here are some photos:

X2

More gas in the tank baby. Like 5 or 10 more. Gas should just flow out of line by fuel pump. You might want to leave the gas cap off til it flows too. For that matter you can apply a vacuum to the line to pull the fuel through the filter and get the siphon thing going. You could use your mouth but using a suction gun (at most part stores, used to fill rear ends and transfercases) will taste better. I wonder if you could apply pressure to the fill opening? Well you could but who would want to? Besides the neighbors might think you were a bit odd.

yeah, it goes the direction of the arrow on it ( tank to carb :D )

Hopefully I can get out there after work and mess with it.
Waiting on a font from Japan so i can deliver the next build of this nissan website ;)

hopefully I just do not have enough gas in the tank, other wise i will take apart the pump again and see what is up :)
