heater connected, stock seatbelts in :D

Cutting new plexi glass, thats all going in tomorrow :D
Could not find the wing window rubbers, but i am just gonna use some vanilla window rubbers and cut them to fit flush.

ONLY missing bit, missing one of the bottom metal clips for the passenger side plexiglass window that slides in the runner felt ( the bit that you pop in the slots to control how high or low the window is. )
(FST soft Doors )

Guess i might neeed to bend a ghetto one outta metal if they are no longer available... any ideas?

what octane fuel are you guys running btw?

Looks like my compression is 170 across the board :D

Just want to be sure i am running the proper octane, have the octane adjuster set on normal zero btw

I would just run regular octane, but don't put any ethanol gasoline in there.

you have this option? thats all we have here...every place sells 10% or are you talking about e85?

hummm a flex fuel cruiser :hhmm:

It's getting rarer and rarer, but yes, a couple of places still sell the non-ethanol. Or they say they do. Snowmobiles, jet-skis, lawnmowers, boats, tractors all seem to prefer the non-ethanol, in addition to our old rigs. I think the ethanol breaks down old gaskets and fuel lines, too. And rubber, like the stuff in our old fuel pump diaphragms.

I've found it makes a huge difference in gas milage as well. Like 25% worse, especially for my 1 barrel. I switched accidentally (gas station went from non to 10% without any fanfare) and noticed immediately. I struggled with it for a while, then found a new gas station and problems went away.

thats great that you can still get the non-ethanol gas...i also knoticed a big difference...i dont know about the oem carbs...but...the weber i run has not been bad with it...has not affected the carb....just mpg

Maybe this is why my fuel pump started leaking recently.... Now I gotta find a different gas station.

I was driving home, parked the truck, and the truck just died, pretty weird

Turned the key, no click nothing, no lights or wipers work...
I am guessing blown fuses>?
Need to get some new fuses tomorrow.

Battery cables and every thing seem to be secure etc.
I will look at the ignition switch tomorrow as well, but it seems the lights should work independent of that, so i am assuming fuses>>?

Bad ground I think....
secure your - cable with such a ring ....

.... or sell the truck and buy a 1952 VW beetle ;)....
they run & run & run & r..
Cheers
Peter

Does your FJ40 have a fusible link? Might be that...

You might also want to check the fuses for corrosion at the contacts. I once stood at a gas station with a car that would not run after filling her up. After some digging I found the fuse for the electric fuell pump was corroded. I could meassure a current but it was not enough to make the pump work. Just move the fuses in their socket to see if that helps.
