I notice couple SoCal80 members going to this Desert Rendezvous 2014 in Mar and wonder if you guys are camping together or just whereever in a big group? I'd like to do more trail time than what's on agenda so i don't know if you guys have any side plan? TIA.

We're going and usually camp with the parts of the Socal 80s group. The Rendezvous are great and it's possible to do as much or as little as you want. Regarding the agenda just make sure you don't miss pot luck and raffle.

I am planning on attending again this year. Also planning on running through Red Canyon jeep trail on the way to the event.

I have yet to attend. I'm pretty much stock except for the 285s. Not sure if the trails ask for more. I would cruise depending on dates and all.

Al , come on out. Desert trail are easy. I was near DV last weekend exploring with some Expo
folks and it was fun.

Just signed up. Looking forward to seeing you guys. Any caravan plan from OC?

Trails are a piece of cake. The easiest way to get to the event is just a couple of miles off of the fwy on a graded dirt road.

Cool. I'll look into dates and all. Hope to cruise out.

I'll be there.

Al, even the Red Rock Jeep Trail is easy. I ran it last year pulling my trailer. Stock on 285's you'll be more than fine!

x2 on making it what you want. Explore Bradshaw Trail - easy graded dirt road. Spend time at the Patton Museum, etc. depsnding on where Dave has it this year. If same site as last year it'll be fun. Big open expanse of BLM land and plenty of room for anyone and everyone.

I signed up and hopefully can make it this year. Will be in the middle of a kitchen remodel by then but should be able to break away for a weekend.

I'll be there again, hoping to arrive Friday around lunch time:bounce::bounce2:

Do we want to plan a run through Red Cyn again on our way to the event?

Where is it? Is there an event website with more info?

Is there a SoCal80 caravan? I am game for the Red Canyon. Mild trail since I don't have armor and may bring the trailer?

Yep mild but fun and fairly scenic. Will try to get a photo up this evening. I will be towing a trailer as I did last time and it wasn't an issue at all.

Are most of you guys leaving Friday morn? I would like to cruise, but as I've stated I'm stock and I don't even have any trail gear. I would have to depend on y'all in any funky situations. I would have to cruise out Saturday night.

See post #13 above in this thread for the link to the official sign up thread over on American Adventurist. :D Desert Rendezvous currently does not have a sign up limit, pending any BLM limitations. Mountain Rendezvous does have a limit due to the campground used so that one fills up in the fall rather quickly.
