Hi again folks!

Back with the announcement of the Delta Vehicle Systems FJ80 and FZJ80 front bumpers.

You may have seen the prototype of this bumper on our Overland Expo client build. We’ve made some improvements since then and are now ready to sell these things!

Driven by the need for off-road clearance while maintaining strength and good looks, this bumper protects your vehicle and adds functionality. With a hidden winch tray, interchangeable light mount plates (Baja Designs, Rigid, and “cut your own” are current options), included LED turn signals, dual purpose shackle mounts with integrated “quick-hook”, and optional bull-bar, this bumper goes the extra 10 miles.

One of the more unique aspects of our bumper is the removal of your stock valence. By taking off that flimsy, usually bent, piece of sheetmetal and closely following the body/light/grill contour, you will get the best of both worlds: extremely high clearance AND the kind of super stout protection you can only get from a deep and tall metal structure.

The bumper has enough depth on the top to act as a nice work platform/tool storage/”cold beverage” holder (when camped for the night, of course), all without sticking out obnoxiously far from the grill.

They are available with or without a bullbar, but the bullbar option will be a "build to suit" option.

All the bumpers have two openings on the top surface so you can access your hidden winch with ease. Standard fairlead mount holes and license plate holes on the same spot in the front, with secondary plate mounting holes on the lower surface (note: may not be legal to mount the front plate on the lower surface in your state).

The winch zone is designed to fit a WARN M8000 style winch. The prototype has a Smittybilt 10k winch installed with zero issues and plenty of room to spare. Note: the relays will need to be mounted under the hood for almost any winch.

Another unique part is our “quick-hook” shackle mount. Not only do you have the standard two spots to mount shackles that are lined up with the frame for maximum strength, but you have two hooks incorporated into the same piece of metal that you can just throw a loop over for quick, non-critical situations.

There is also a hidden mounting location for a NOCO 110V receptacle (this model: NOCO - AC Port Plug - GCP1) for adding shore power/permanent trickle charger, block heater, etc.

Since the 91-94 FJs have different grills/lights/valence than the 95-97, you will want to choose the appropriate option when you order. This selection matters because the bumper follows the grill closely and replaces the valence. With this bumper, you do NOT have to mess with your AC components on an FZJ. The bumper clears the bottle and the dryer can be left in place (it will hang below the lower edge of the bumper by about an inch).

Our bumpers work equally well on flared and de-flared rigs. Flares drove the design, but the outside edge is driven by the curves of the body and looks just as great on de-flared rigs. Whichever setup you have, you will be getting plenty of protection via this bumper.

We include a pack of stainless steel shims so you can get the bumper “just right” in case your rig has any kind of body/frame mis-alignment. All needed hardware to mount bumper is also included.

The bumper is up on our site now (FJ80 Delta Front Bumper), ready for purchase and shipment. As usual with a bumper this size, freight shipment is required. You can save $70 if you have a forklift, and another $70 if you have a commercial address it can go to.

Nice to have more options, I think the bull bar one will look nice

So glad you guys came into the scene. I’m going to wait for the bull bar option and will also wait until I can purchase the rear bumper at the same time.

Installing a bumper in a customer rig today, thought a pic of the backside would go over well here. This gives you an idea of how a winch fits. You can also see the strengthening rib on the inside top (facing camera in pic) with holes to secure your light wiring. These are the kind of details we work into our designs to make install and longterm use a no-brainer.

Looks great! Too rich for my blood, but I hope to see more of these around

Is the “bullbar” option just the short hoop above a led bar as shown in the CAD rendering or something that will actually protect the headlights radiator? If so, need to add a picture.

Just what you see in the screenshot. Adding what you're talking about would be possible, but fall under the "build to order" type thing.

looks like a well designed bumper. I love the look of the front and how it molds the contour of the 80s grille and front end. The part i am still a little fuzzy on is how the side meets the wheel well and fender flare. Perhaps the picture is a little deceiving or lack of lighting rather. Maybe a better picture on a different color rig might help convey otherwise? Awesome design nontheless.

Does this pic help that? If not, what kind of angle are you looking for? Can take more pics for you if it'll help. Should be able to make this pic a lot bigger if you click on it.

Tell us more about the “C” on the side! ;)

yes it helps a ton. PERFECT! now i see how the side meets the flares and everything is working quite well. I would add a bull bar/hoop for some front end protection and will be perfect. Thanks for sharing..

Looks good but seem to be really expensive, Let me ask what makes these different material wise that justifies the price, same with console. Just asking.

What differentiates our products from other products currently available is the design work that goes into developing these products, the precision of construction and fitment, and the ease of install for the end user.

As far as the "console", are you referring to the center console? Keep in mind that is just a placeholder on the site (isn't even supposed to be visible). That part is not finalized at this time.

Forget solar, when is the wind power option you show in the first photo going to become available!!

Haha, jk. Great looking bumper. I'd like to see a better shot of the side on a rig without flares.

Looking great, definitely well designed and well thought out piece! If I wasn't in NZ and didn't recently do my own bumper build this would have been top of the list! Honestly I wasn't sure I'd like this based off the limited photos that were showing the bumper previously. But having more photos up at distance, it's definitely now my favorite available option.

Some people may be shocked at the price, but just looking at the amount of separate pieces, welds, and how well everything fits together, I think it's definitely worth the price. Great job @Delta VS !

Wind power option available "tomorrow", along with the free beer.

Here are a bunch more pics of the bumper installed on shop rig (flareless, and please excuse the filth), keep in mind the frame is bent on this vehicle. You'd only be able to tell from these pics if you looked it over with a magnifying glass, but under the bumper it's pretty messed up. This bumper allows for enough adjustment to still fit correctly.
