Anyone help explain how there's a voided check from Capital City Music in my toolbox? That's one weird item I'd never thought to have found left here :D

 R

seemed like the right place for it :D
found it in my pocket after friday night at the lincoln
i blame meatball

Wow, what an epic whirlwind of wrenching; Think im still recovering but glad I could be a part. It truly was impressive the magnitude of the projects that were completed succesfully; so all in all id still call it a great success. Thanks to all that contributed a hand and those that kept us fed so well.
Hate that it didnt end with a clackity clack and a bunch of black smoke but hope your making some progress into figuring out the issues on a no start and its nothing too serious like the IP. Looks like your getting good feedback from boots and others that have been there before in 60's tech. and I sincerely apologize if I made the backing plates entirely too nice for moonshine :D

You saying this was more extensive than the full body swap? That is amazing!
I wish I could have made it just to see all the :wrench:ing that went on, and drink your beer. ;) I hope Mr. Free represented me well!
Good job all and congratulations Johnny!

Mr monk. I did my best. So much so that I have had zero desire for a beer since then. However if you find the need to hire a proxy for a future event, I highly recommend this guy. He is a pro!

Thanks a ton brother. A whirlwind is right!

I was just looking at the backing plates yesterday. They're perfect! Did you leave the 80 e-brake cable somewhere, or that 80 driveshaft? I didn't see either, but then again, it's hard to find a pair of vicegrips in Ramon's poor garage :D

is it running yet?

Thank-you Mr. Free! I'm sure you drank yours and my share of Johnny's beer, but I hope you had plenty of wise-cracks and smartass remarks thrown in too! ;)

Why I don't like Raleigh... too many homeless people sleeping in the parking decks

No, still troubleshooting. I'm kicking myself for not running this motor before the swap. It ran when I bought it, but I hadn't run it after I did all the work.:bang:

what did you do to it post buy and pre install?

what did you do to it post buy and pre install?

Short list:
- head re-manufacture
- head gasket
- injection pump governor spring
- check torque on all lower end fasteners

you are using diesel right?

who filled the can:confused:
