It's just good to see my motor coming together

Just wait till it gets installed and you are behind the wheel. That nasty thumb will be an afterthought......"You'll wear a SMILE not even a mule could kick off." And this is coming from personal experience. ;)

Hopefully I will get to drive it. I do live in California where we are trying to save the worlds air quality :(

Unless it's a 1976 or earlier vehicle, it has to pass a smog test. Here is the kicker. Most older vehicles standard smog testing back in the day was done at idle with a simple sniffer test. Now, the state has decided to change and implement new standards and requirements. Now, they test under load at 1500 rpm's in 1st gear and 2500 rpm's in 2nd gear along with a visual inspection. Under those conditions, it's not looking good.

You won't have a problem Dave, plus new smogged engine, a piece of cake!

I'm sure Mark can make it pass!!

Remember when using someone else's "clean" urine was all the rage? :hmm: Maybe Mark can figure out how to swap exhaust...

Cleaned up the pushrods yesterday. Chased the buggered threads on the rocker studs this morning and voila, it's starting to really look like a motor.

Now it needs a dust cover

Wow a real work of art Mark! Love the color combination.

I'm sure Dave can't hardly wait to install this baby!

The excellent accident

The double-plating turnedout really nice Dave. This is the cleanest throttle bracket I've ever seen.

Trans and transfer should be finished tomorrow. Backup light switch turned out to be fine.

Well, my water pump install got put off one more day, so...on goes Dave's side cover!
