Guys are always surprised that we have so many daily drivers. Maybe we should post some of them up and let people see what it is that we drive daily? I'll start, ---- I drive a Pig! 1975, long range tank, Fj60 difs, H55 trans, 33s - she cruises comfortably on the freeway at 75 or 80 (just turn up the radio a little). I drive it at least 5 days a week. I leave my paid for company car in the garage unless I have to go to a function where I must be driving it. Getting ready to start on the already pretty good body.

oh sure, start THIS thread the ONE week my motors blown up:flipoff2:

ok, so it's been 8 days since prognosis. I TRIED to tell the machinist that I could get the cam plug, but he insisted he could get it.....now that's all he's waiting for:lol: to finish the block....
I'll post back in a week....:censor:

This is my 50/50 daily driver, I try to only drive it on nice days, however this last two weeks my other daily driver was getting some things fixed on it, so i had to drive it around in a few snow storms. Such a beast! 71' with a small block sway, ranger underdrive, and a few other goodies. Here in a week to have some more goodies!

BTW. Beachbob, LOVE your pig. I hate how so many of you have such clean pigs! lol

Color

She must have started life as Sky Blue and White, somebody did a quality repaint with a pearlescent clear coat for the white and a light metallic gold. They even cut in all the door frames etc so it was a high quality job. Im ready to do the body resto now that all the running gear is pretty much done - so I'm struggling with what should be the new color. The body has very little rust - even in the usual spots - she came out of a life in the AZ desert so really good shape.

Thanks

Yep, drive it all I can. I found I can go 70 as well, and probably faster, but don't bother. The Ranger gets a little loud.

Used it to recently move down the hill from Tahoe to Winters, Ca. Pulled trailer like a champ up and down the 6000' elevation change.

Maggie-dog likes it when the windows are down.

All nice rigs, the only Daily Driver, I use anymore, is a Honda three wheeler. I drive to town as little as possible.

Ron,
Please put me in your will for that incredible rig you are building then... ha, cause it will be well taken care of. ! I too drive to town as little as possible but when I do...well you know.

Actually since I work from home mostly and we just moved to a new community where I don't know a soul.... I drive the cruiser as much as possible in hopes that it will strike up a conversation with anyone... ha! It works. I've met several people over the cruiser hood.

Driven daily....

...occasionally to some pretty spectacular places.

3 weeks

StinkySwine71 - I will have updated pics in 3 weeks. Currently in the paint shop.

What color(s) are you going to use?

I have a work truck that I have to use daily, but I can't wait to park it after work and pick up the kids from school and do a store run in my Megadoomer. I just put the new u joint in today and have finished the interior while the drive shaft was getting work. The only thing I like about possibly working in the office is that I get to drive my 55 more.

Sounds like a very cool paint job.
Why are you repainting? Paint getting old?

Taken at the Dolores River overlook on the Kokopelli Trail last weekend.
