Actually, Ron, hope you are lucky enough to have a wife like mine. The Pig had sitting behind the fence for a couple of years, just a shell originally bought as parts for my first one that I sold, when she decided we should sell her restored Karmann Ghia and build it. And if she'd been driving down Rose Garden Hill last weekend, we probably wouldn't have dinged the rockers.

Cool Shot

Yeah Jim very very cool. After June (retirement) I'm free and plan to take my pig to visit some really cool spots too. MNP1 I have to cruiuse at that speed here or get my little piggys A** run right over! Important common message is we all love driving our pigs. Hazel looks Terrific to me!!!! ;)

Daily driver? Yes, I've been daily driving my Pig for about 25 years now. Through 2 ex-wives, 3 daughters, 4 engines, 5 odometers, more housing changes than I care to count...this Pig has always been there for me.
From stock to bad-ass, it's always got me home. Could ask no more from any vehicle.

Jim,

I truly have been blessed to have my Wife. I believe if a guy is married and pouring time, money, energy into a project, he better have a Wife that understands, but as you know it's a two way street. I'm just glad I got one of the good ones!

Sheeeit.... my wife loves the cruiser and now that we have moved, she just spotted a 65 bug in the neighbors yard that she wants... crap. I've had a bunch of VW's and I can't say they are my favorite motors to work on.... neighbor is trying to sell it to us cheep. It's mint. This ain't a bug forum, but the parallels are funny between us all.

Nice rig Pighead! That thing is a beast.

Mine has been my daily drivers for years. Since I was 16 in fact, I am 37 now. It's been the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. Multiple accedents both on and off road, a few broken components and it has driven home under its own power every time. Mine has only made it through one ex-wife, but the present wife likes it so much she tears up just thinking about it. Now that I have cheaper daily driver vehicle (read that as "too many") I only drive the 55 on thursdays. It has become famous with the "drive your Land Cruiser to work day".
