Not recent, but didnt notice this before, 50 first dates, they go to the hospital on a piggie.

The real funny line in the scene, which I never truly heard until today, was how Dan Aykroyd says really fast how the brain institute is funded by a charity from Ohio, Tom Callahan. IFKYK.

Watched a show last night called High Country on Hulu over the last few weeks. Got to go back and grab some screen shots almost every 3rd vehicle was a land cruiser.

The Thirsty Beaver is an interesting story. Started in 2008 it was the lone building on a block of vacant land property. The owner of the land around it wanted to sell to a developer for multi-family housing and tried to get the owner of the property the beaver sits to become part of it but they said no. Then the owner of the surrounding property tried to block access to the beaver by putting up fences that impeded access and make it harder for patrons to get in and out that finally got court ordered to bring them down from the fire martial. The land did sell and the developer tried numerous times to buy the land the beaver was on but never did so they built the apartments horseshoe shape around them. The contruction happened after I moved but I knew a ton about it because one of my good friends, Molly, was a bartender at the beaver. Had a few drinks on the menu named after her. I went quite a few times when I lived there even though it wasn't my type of dive bar. Way too country but a fun time even if their taste in music was terrible but the interesting old country decor was cool. Hee-Haw or Laugh In were about the only two things on the TV 24/7. Beer choice was well..... let just say it was there that I discovered PBR made a PBR lite beer and a Sam Adams was considered some exotic ale from far away lands. The atmosphere with the customers and bar staff was great though and was still a good time fo rall.

EDIT: I forgot the best part all the Save the Beaver signs that popped up when the surrounding property tried to fence it in.

That's pretty badass. I just messaged my friend, she doesn't work there anymore but said she will see if she can get me one of those fliers to hang in the garage.
