Meet at Hopkins Pickle at 5:00 p.m. for the run up the Harrison.

If you are speaking of Hawkins Pickle rd and are thinking of running Norish the gate was locked last weekend, the chehalis side of margret creek pass is cross ditch hell, 8 feet deep and 8 feet wide x 20 and the main road near the pass on the norish side is impassable due to wash out.

Kinda curious where you guys are thinking of going as I could tag along for the evening, but not overnight. It'd be nice to not be the only one wheelin a school bus.LOL

Hawkins Pickle

Sounds like Norish is out and they cut access to the back of chehallis.
There are a couple of lakes on the east side of Stave, bugs will be bad though.
How about heading down the road to harrison east and camping on the beach around the 2nd logging camp. Nice beach and the flies a usually not that bad there.
That would make it past Bear Creek about 15k.
Open to suggestions by someone who knows the Norish area.
Mike

We camped there after Cruiser Days...last year? Yes it is a very nice spot.

**CHANGE OF PLANS** WE ARE NOT MEETING AT HAWKINS PICKLE AFTER CRUISER DAYS.

We are now meeting at the gas station at Harrison Hot Springs (Mohawk?) at 5:30 - 6:00 p.m.
The run will go up to the second logging camp on the Harrison East road and we will spend the night on the Harrison Lake beach shore just on the far side of that logging camp area.

if I'm not at the gas station by 6pm, don't wait for me
I need to unload and then reload the kids and grub after the show
I know where you'll be so I'll see ya there!
I'll need to get myself a beer too

Well, Cruiser Days 2009 has come and gone....another successful event. We had at least 80 or more Cruisers there, weather was perfect, the crowd happy, no parking problems with Korean group next door, food was decent, and we ran into lots of familiar faces from the past: Stone, Greg Bowie & Petra, Derek Anderson, Denny Chramosta (you're BAD for running over that traffic cone), Aaron's former squeeze Carolyn, Garr, and many more. Even Norm Fisher showed up! The grand prize of the ARB fridge/freezer went to Jeff S. :D Lisa we missed you, but not too much!:p and everybody buggered-off nice and early to cool off at home or head for Harrison for the run. :steer:

Now, would somebody please organize an August Civic Holiday run?

Nice job folks! I was so busy yakking with everyone that by the time I went to buy raffle tickets they were all gone... and jeff got my fridge. You suck Steiger!! :D

The last one I was at was still the in parking lot in Surrey, what a difference!

While the Deas location is very nice, Vanny mentioned another GVRD park nearby that sounds even more proming, with a beach! Be worth looking into I think.

Whew, it's still hot out. I think I'll get a cold beer and ice cream from my ARB fridge :)
