While the Deas location is very nice, Vanny mentioned another GVRD park nearby that sounds even more proming, with a beach! Be worth looking into I think.

Whew, it's still hot out. I think I'll get a cold beer and ice cream from my ARB fridge :)

I second that. :flipoff2: :flipoff2: I beleive Jeff volunteered to provide beer for all at the Aug meeting. :D

Great day. Lots of nice rigs - almost made up for the lack of the EBI Girls. I think the location was great. Only thing better might be a private property rental where you can enjoy a few cold ones or maybe put up some obstacles like they do at the 4WD Show.

It was my first time at cruiser days and didn't know anyone except for Sonny (DoubleDown) from a previous bc4x4 run and Canuck Safari from selling my old gps. I met some new people and my 2 boys and I had a good time and put a few internet names to faces, even won a cordless impact! I look forward to next year and possibly a weekend run with some cruisers sometime.

Congrats on the fridge Enigma, hopefully you were able to get it home without it disappearing. LOL

It was great to see people from the Club who I haven't seen in a long time. I especially liked Bill's new-to-me look...I hardly recognized him. Like I told him at the event, it looked like he rolled in with a Harley. :D I got to bug Phil about his boat anchor, and actually got to see Norm! Neat to chat a little with Deny, Rob M., and Martin also.

I also saw Craig and Garr, but not until I was already rolling out of the event...so I only managed to wave at them. Congratulations on a great event...very well attended with lots of Cruisers.

When life slows down for me a little maybe I'll actually be able to go to a run with some of you guys. If I'm out flyfishing, it's usually around the Roche Lake area and I notice you guys did a run to Ernest before...someday.

roche sucks;p

friskin and bullman is where its at:flipoff2:

When we drove by Black year on July long it was a zoo. I'm sure the fishing is good, but I believe Ernest is better. A few of the other lakes seem to strike faster, but fish are smaller... so I hear. I'm sure Stone or Dan could give you a definitive answer. Last year Dan took us up to a different lake (we were camped at Ernest) and there was nobody there, lots of nice camping spots as well. Maybe Dan can refresh my memory on the name of that lake.

Black lake holds rainbows and brook trout. Last time I fished it they were coming through in schools that were easily seen due to the gin clear water. It's a nice lake to fish because not too many will make the effort to drive the short rougher road to the lake from Roche main...I haven't caught anything of remarkable size out of there...but I haven't concentrated on it too much either.

It was cool to catch up with the few Cruiserheads who were still around there at 3. Next time I'll have to leave Kelowna a bit earlier!

You made the trip down, Daryl? Would have been nice to catch up with you, but I left around 1:30. Next time...or maybe next time I'm up in Kelowna I'll look you up.

Good to finally meet you Daryl after all the years here on MUD and on IVOAC. Maybe I'll be able to hook up with on of your club's runs this year.

Just got back home. Good show, Kudos to everyone who put time into that, greatly appreciated. Sorry Bill, got a little carried away there, hope I only knocked them down and didn't crush them.
Cheers,
Deny

Well, Deny, I'm sorry to say that you did crush a new one, so if they send us the bill, we know where you live!:p
Good to see you again at Cruiser Daze.
