i think the best way to go to moab is as a passenger!!!
i did that last year and rode with alot of different people it was friggin awesome.no worries just hop in anywhere.believe me people love having someone with em.if you show up you WILL NOT be dissapointed.it takes 1.2 seconds to make life long friends at cruise moab.like i said in an above post if you dont make it in,at least show up,you WILL be taken care of.just make sure to pay BLM fees and everybody is happy:)

I agree with Shawn, if you can just show up. I ended up riding along last year as well, as the runner was down for the count. It was good fun. I'm always amazed by how friendly everybody is out in Moab, just doesnt get mutch better!
Looks like i'll have a open seat after all this year as my passanger that was doesnt now if they can get the time of work.

I'll probably have a seat open too. You may not want to ride in a stinker though. Yo.. shawn, you livin in parker now?

I've got the registration in, but the campground thing is still up in the air. Will be driving the 45, so I don't know if I'm gonna wheel it too much or just ride bitch. Might want to hook up with hatfield or nuclear. :D

Let's discuss MOAB some more.... I'm getting pumped.

hum... what time do the trail rides start at in the mornings?

Is there a place in MOAB to refill my CO2 OBA in town if I run out?

There must be some stuff we should discuss...

Can y'all wear name tags with your Mud screen names? :flipoff2:

Aint that the truth.

Riley, not sure of a place to fill CO2. However most of the times we do not air up for the whole week. Unless you run one of the trails like Elephant Hill that is really far our of town.

Most trails start at 8-9 in the morning. Golden Spike starts earlier and Elephant Hill starts way early.

See you there.

Christo is, as usual, on the money. I would not air back up unless you were on Elephant hill. I will have a tank as will a whole bunch of other folks.

I think we should have name tags.....:D

Dan you're supposed to be fishing, not mudding.

Christo, that's good to know about not airing up all week. I won't worry about refilling my CO2 tank then.

As much as I hate wearing goofy name tags, in this case it would be really helpful. In addition to the name tag, a little sign at your camp spot or truck would be good so that when guys walk by, they can stop and say hi.

The only 80s from BC that I know of that are heading down are Sean's and mine. It's easy to tell the difference because he's got all the mods. ;p

At those starting hours I guess I'm getting up kinda early to cook breakfast and make coffee in time to head out.

I though your name was Double Jack and Coke, that's Ms. Coke to everyone else.

What CB channel do the guys use for Cruise Moab?

i hear the 4x4 club around here uses channel 4, what about at moab?

I'm sure my piece of crap antenna will work fine but just curious before I screw up it's match too much.

I'd imagine various groups will be assigned their own separate channel at the meeting each morning.

I was semi kidding about the name tags but it does make sense I guess. Maybe we'll just wear our Avatars or something, LOL!

Good, cause people make fun of my real name, Haywood. Haywood J. Blomee. So I chose the screen name Kenton.

People make fun of that too, but only after rot13'ing it, which restricts it to a nerd pure play.

Ah, anyway. Hatfield, some of us are gonna just show up and try to find an open seat. What are the odds we'll be able to get a ticket for the dinner, pick up some tshirts etc?

Later,
Kenton

shirts no problem, but dinner tickets you'll want to arrange ahead of time as they only order enough dinners to match the entrants (actually, there's usually a few extra, but no guarantee you'll get one).

I've run magnets on my doors with my user names in the past. It works pretty well.

Ige, who do we contact about more meal tickets? My sidekick is now bringing his son and daughter. So I need to add them on to our registration.

pm hatfield...he's on the committee and can tell you who to contact or pass the info on for you. there may also be a link to the cruise moab committee on the rising sun website.
