I have a spare 40 that I am bringing but it will stay at camp . if someone ends up needing it we can run and get it . I run Beadlocks so can run pretty much with a flat tire if needed
Im running 37s and have pretty much the same plan. Leave it at camp. Ive got a glue tread kit, and prep tools.

Any H8Mudders around Moab yet?

I was about 180 miles away earlier today and something on the Toyota side failed in the starter circuit. It is only needed to start the LS motor. Made it 2000 miles before this happened..🤦

In a McDs parking lot, found a way to start the truck and drove the last 200 miles directly to Moab...

I need to investigate the cause tomorrow at the Spanish Fair Grounds. Probably a flaky fusible link.

Anyone is welcome to stop by and say hi. Look for the LX450 with the hood up. 😁

Obligatory picture from the trip

I wanted to put a last minute feeler out to see if anyone going to Cruise Moab this year has a full float 80 series rear axle that I buy and pickup at the event? I only need the housing but I am willing to buy a complete axle if thats what avaible. Let me know if you have an axle!

First, much praise to the organizers. Very impressive by everyone involved.

I just went through inspection. Very well organized.

Since this has been a topic.

The parking brake test was interesting...

I think the assumption is you have a 2nd gear start, even with automatics.

My truck doesn't. Inspector looked at my gear shifter and said there it is. 😁

I believe most modern GM transmissions (6, 8 and 10 speeds) no longer have that option.

They have a manual mode instead but I don't think you can force 2nd gear start with it.

I mean, it would be easier to pass the test if I could start in 2nd gear...

Inspector just asked to see if the truck could hold if I let off the brake pedal in first gear.

This is a less stringent test than my state's inspection.

IMHO, nothing to be afraid of.

Well boys, i sent her a little too hard today.

Just unregistered all my trails. 😲

Have fun and be safe.

My only hope at this point is lucky draws on the raffle 🤪
