I wouldn't limit yourself to just 5's. There is an army of 80's and mechanics that go each year and probably enough parts to rebuild one from scratch... You'll make it home is what I am trying to say haha Top of the world, Hells Revenge, Poison Spider , gold bar rim, elephant hill should be on your list

haha... more about how well I did my LS swap, and did I torque everything correctly after a full mechanical rebuild...😁 Then I got the Rubithon in June.

It will be nice to see your turbo 1FZ-FE and compare it my 2020 6.0 L96/6L90e. 😉 I have been following those threads closely.

Start getting those shakedown down miles on it! Best way to find the gremlins is to drive every day until something happens.

We’ll have to get together and go for a rip to compare notes!

With all due respect, I don't have to do sh!t. I'm going to CM to learn more about technical driving/recovery from people who have heaps of experience and to be in the beautiful southern Utah environment. I don't have anything to prove, 100's aren't good rock crawlers anyway and I gotta drive this thing 6.5 hours back home. I ain't too proud to take bypasses around obstacles. I understand the inherent risk but I want to avoid body damage as much as possible, tupperware bumpers included. Therefore my biggest limiting factor is approach/departure angles.
WOW!
Who pissed in your wheaties?
You asked a question and you got an answer... Seems you didn't like it.
I drive my 80 6 hours each way with no issues and i run all the "harder" trails.
All the trails Jeff mentioned are fairly easy for a mediocre driver.
The main thing you need to ask yourself is how confident you are in your abelites..
We're not here to train you how to drive, we're here to wheel! If your worried, stick to the bunny slopes, 5 and lower.
All the trails and ratings are here, TRAIL RATINGS - Cruise Moab - https://www.cruisemoab.com/trail-ratings/
I suggest you study up, read all of it. Than hit up youtube for videos. I'm sure every trail on our list has a video of some sort....

Woah! 😂
Holy crap, I didn't mean to come off that way! My bad, it's all good.

I've been through the trail ratings page and I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos. Some 7 trails look manageable while some 6's seem fairly hardcore. But videos never do them justice. As long as I can avoid big steps I think I'll be ok.

If you want to avoid body damage then leave it parked in the arena.

Trail selection happens March 14th y'all!

I am leading Steel Bender on Thursday. And Pritchett canyon on Friday. Maybe golden spike Sat or Rusty Nail.

Done poison spider several times, but never the other two on the trifecta.

We're only bringing the wifes 4Runner this year, so easier trails are what we're doing this year. Gunning Hells night run is the only thing I'm doing for sure ATM. Thursday is open ATM. Most likely riding with Flynn on Moab Rim Friday. Leaving Saturday morning because we have Sublime tickets at Red Rocks for that night!

Registered. See you all in a month!

Looking forward to it Jeff.

Still working on some last minute items...
Just finished my 4.7 gears. Hoping my new park brake layout works out. What's the test procedure for tech inspection on the park brake?
