so thats what the view from hurrah pass looks like! great pix - i'm kicking myself. since when did the obstacles on hotel rock get named:hhmm:? the pix show the narrowness of "the narrows" for the most part, but not the potential "pit-fall" to the right:eek:! Oh, and I hear Drew and Jim now have gone for my look on the rear bumper...:hillbilly:

Is that River House? If so I was there 20 years ago on a Kayak trip on the San Juan and was told it was only accessible from the river or hiking ....did you guys hike?

the road actually goes on - I was the only one who took it

it deadends at a wood fenced 'parking lot', and then you walk maybe 200 steps

most elaborate and largest petroglyph panel I have ever seen; probably better appreciated in the early morning (i did not have the camera with me)

there was a rafting party landing at the same time, their guide said that the access to Riverhouse is on private land and that the owner does not want people to go there - but the road goes through the wash and the parking lot fencing is well maintained

I am usually not so gung-ho on ruins, but these petroglyphs are worth a dedicated trip - there is nothing left of ruins that I could see (might be around the corner and truly only accessible from the river)

I take it there were no trailer mishaps this year.

It looks like another great trip. My fingers are crossed for next year.

...

Nope, the trailers only played on "ruin day". Jim maybe on White Rim, so there is still a possibility.:hillbilly:

Finger crossing doesn't work well, committing, planning works better. .... Are you bringing Hanna? ;p
