Is that River House? If so I was there 20 years ago on a Kayak trip on the San Juan and was told it was only accessible from the river or hiking ....did you guys hike?

Yes, Snake House, aka River House, had to hike ... about this far.:hillbilly:

Tuesday was one of my all time favorite drives, Lockhart Basin, from Monticello to Moab.

On the way into the park we stopped at Newspaper Rock.

Taking pix seemed almost pointless, sure you can stick the cam out the window almost anywhere and get a good snapshot, some may even qualify as photographs, but the camera is far too crude of a tool to capture the place, it doesn’t fit. In person the place has fantastic 3D depth, texture, vastness, etc, the pix are flat, boring, disappointing. :o
