I did the same exact thing. Spent two hours yesterday weighing the benefits of different systems and eventually ended up buying several candles. The problem being that I want the 1,000 watt one and a refrigerator and solar panels. At that point I figured I’m out of budget. So candles and some butane for my gas stove is where I settled for power outage situations. Still have a good pure sine 350w inverter in the truck if needed.This, and I also went down a youtube rabbit hole looking at solar generator reviews...

Sounds like it needs 8.5oz of oil instead of the 10oz listed in the manual. This is why I don’t read manuals.
