Does look good. You shot it yet?

I am up for a shooting weekend. Just say the weekend.

A shoot/camp-out would be fun. Count me in.

The scope is a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 on a LT104 mount. The glass is amazing, easily equal or better than a Leupold Mark IV. The windage and elevation knobs are very precise and solid.

I have only had the oppourtunity to shoot it in my backyard so far. :p

I've been thinking about trying to put together a trip where we hit all the shooting ranges in the Oauchita Natl Forrest and camp/rent cabins along the way. There are about 5 ranges that go around Lake Ouiachita We could probably get to all of them with very little pavement driving. Of course this is in AR. What kind of Ranges are available in Ms?

Very few.

This sounds like a fun trip. Can you drink beer at the ranges in AR?

I ordered an SWR Octane HD. 45 last week. Should be here sometime next YEAR.

I am hanging at Andrew's house if the zombie apocalypse ever happens!

Thats not too bad! I guess I'll get mine back in February. Until then, I can play with it whenever I go visit my classIII dealer.

As nifty as that seems. Due to weird NFA laws, you would have to send in your old oil can in to be replaced with a new oil can whenever you needed to replace it. Installing your own cans yourself would mean you are unlawfully manufacturing a suppressor, and would land you in federal prison. The makers of the oil can suppressor fail to tell people that in their video. Lesson learned: Just buy a real suppressor and stay away from gimmicks.

This. If the ATF wanted to be a dick, they could bust you for constructive possession just for having the adapter and a stash of oil filters for your 80. Better to just buy the real deal.. and then at least you'll be able to use the sights on your weapon. And if you are into risking federal prison sentences, you could probably find an "oil filter thread adapter" marketed as a solvent trap on ebay for about $10...
