I don't know about the JBL

Saw the MetalTech GX bumpers today, I believe I found my new front and rear bumpers.

Still in prototype phase, Coops mentioned elsewhere MetalTech asked for him to not release pics of it yet. I am eagerly awaiting also!

Tease

I just took a picture man! I wanted people to see my truck! It is a sneaky sneak peek though :p

tires will be ordered Monday or Tuesday, decide to get either Cooper ST Maxx or Dick Cepek Fun County (had FCII on a 87 Toyota pickup and loved them & tire rack has a great price on them) in a 265/70/17. Both tires are 3ply side wall and 10 ply tread and both are made by Cooper Tires. Both are a bit large for a 265/70/17 measuring out at 32" tall and 10.7" wide. thought about the 255/75/17 (31.7"x10.2) or 255/80/17 (33" x 10.2") and those are still an option if I get the Cooper's, but there is not a big difference in sizes.

A 255/75 should be a little taller than that, unless you are accounting for individual tire measurements:
Code:
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
265/65-17 6.8in 15.3in 30.6in 96.0in 660 0.0%
265/70-17 7.3in 15.8in 31.6in 99.3in 638 3.4%
255/75-17 7.5in 16.0in 32.1in 100.7in 629 4.9%
255/80-17 8.0in 16.5in 33.1in 103.9in 610 8.2%

going by the information from FUN COUNTRY | DICK CEPEK TIRES AND WHEELS & Cooper Tire & Rubber Company - Discoverer S/T MAXX™
and a correction, Cooper say 265/70 is 31.85 and 255/75 is 31.77
Dick Cepek say 32 for 265/70

so going by this page 265/65-R17 vs 270/70-R17 Tire Comparison - Tire Size Calculator | Tacoma World the DC measure out as 270/70/17

Removing the running boards are easy, the hard part is the 10 clips on each side, the trick is to get behind the part you see and push in from both sides and pull. I broke 3 and after finding the trick, no more broke.

mounted a first aid kit and tire repair kit to the rear grab handles
