Hi there 👋

I'm searching for continuous current inside or somewhere outside of my J100.

Would like to install a small gadget that requires continuous current.

May some of you help me here please. Where to find it easily?

Thanks
Marcel

I think the cigarette lighter is only on when the key is in acc position. Correct me if I'm wrong but...

Honestly the only full proof method of always on would be to wire directly to the battery terminals themselves.

You can use a jumper in the ACC relay but may depend on the model year. I used a jumper in my “99 LC and had continuous powe in the front right cig socket.

The 100 has a cigar lighter and 12v power outlet up front. The cigar lighter is always hot (no pun intended) while the 12v power outlet(s) are switched.

Also, the head unit has a constant. I wouldn't tap it for anything, but it exists.

Whatever it is you add don't use a Scotchlok to tap wires, some circuits are very sensitive to any voltage drop or increase in Amps.
Find a low amp circuit in the fuse panel and use one of these.

Need more detail on what you are trying to do.

You mentioned outside power, the battery is your best bet and you can even run a little fuse panel off of that.

Inside? IDK, do you have a 12v tester ? the little screw driver thing that lights up when you touch power? Ground that thing out and start poking around. There is a mod you can do if you want full time power to the cig outlets. Look it up
