Hey Everyone,

I had to take the passenger seat out to troubleshoot the power controls not working. So I went ahead and deleted the rear heater. I was thinking this would all for enough room for this powered sub but it certainly seems like a no go. Maybe an amp would fit nicely but not this thing. I think its going to have to be mounted in the rear passenger quarter where the stock sub is currently.

Also, whats this relay looking thing? Can I delete that as part of removing the rear heater or is this something that is required for the power seat?

Okay, spendy solution: Get a Delta attic rack and install it up there? I am thinking of doing this myself - But I already have the attic rack.

I did Infinity Basslink mini under the front seat. It's perfect. Added a little rubber damper to reduce vibration.

Looks like the bracket from this thread.

I wonder if that's who is selling them, or someone just went into business with his design? I've got that sub with his bracket and it works well.

Yep looks like the same bracket. From a quick glance through that thread it appears to be a different guy that is selling them

I got some of that super thick Thinsulate they use for van conversions and RVs and I filled the whole area behind that trim panel. No more vibrations, better sound from the sub, and less road noise. Win, win, win.
Did you cut the woofer circle out bigger on the cargo panel?

I've got an aftermarket sub in the factory location very similar to what is shown above. I Had to replace a few trim clips and tidy things up but there are no rattles/vibrations and haven't been any for years. The system sounds good with the aftermarket sub and updated door speakers but isn't exactly hi-fi. I'm tempted to put another small sub under a front seat to balance things a bit and to make other upgrades but just doing doors and rear sub has been good enough for years.

I've had subs under front-seats and like that location as well, possibly better as the factory location is pretty far back and can get muffled when the cargo area is full.

I'm running factory headset, amp and dash/roof speakers still and don't think they hold the sound quality down much if at all. I use a bluetooth adapter wired into the antenna socket and while it's very convenient and a great addition it does reduce sound quality a bit in my opinion. The bluetooth adapter makes listening to audio from my phone a breeze and supports hands free calls as well though so is worth the slight sound compromise.

Following up on my other question, about that NipponDenso relay(Pic Attached Above) that is under the passenger seat? Seems like its related to the rear heat and can be deleted/unplugged? Or is that needed for something else?

Thanks,

Thanks,
+1 on above, I'd also like to know what this relay is and if I can delete it like I did my rear heater.

I got rid of it when I removed the heater under that seat when I placed a 8" power sub from Crutchfield called Sound Ordinance.
