I don't think any insurance company would cover a car with modified custom steering

Has anyone looked at a dollar value replacement policy for modifications? On that note if you buy an aftermarket part, get it included in your policy, how could an insurance company deny coverage? Also, I wonder if there is any Magnusson-Moss type insurance bill / law (instead of warranty coverage on aftermarket parts, insurance coverage for aftermarket parts)...I get calling your agent and asking about mods and coverage, however, unless I see something in writing a verbal is a no go either way, pro or con.

This topic like almost all others has been discussed a lot with very little definitive resolution. Perhaps @Booger weldz could provide a break down of the insurance return after everything is settled. It's definitely personal info (finances etc.) so understood in advance if the insurance debrief doesn't happen.

How about counting yourself lucky that you were 'inside the box' on this one?
And then STFU for a change?

Ouch dude... Really?

Booger has like 2 posts in his own thread and you drop that because he said "blah blah blah"

Let me translate that for you. You are only given a few clues in life.
Don't go on that road anymore.

Ugh I want to respond to this SOOOOOO freaking badly but I know the black hand will strike. ARGGHHHH!!!! :flipoff2:

Ok I have a better idea...

Obviously you are either both great at/or both terrible at :steer: while :hillbilly: the  or the :cookie:.

Either way, get a room next time.

Glad you guys are ok. Makes me glad to have a roll cage from the A to C pillars, just in case. . .

This thread makes me want to drop back down to 285s :(

or just stop when you notice that your cargo starts to move

this really isn't meant as some sort of snarky comment, but it would have been one option the driver could have chosen - I can't know what I would have done in his situation, so this is just as good as any other suggestion

Something that my father taught me ...... Always rig and secure the load on your own vehicle yourself, never rig or secure a load on someone else's vehicle. I see 1,000 pound round bails (hay) on the side off the road ever so often around here. Folks haul 10-20 round bails on a trailer unsecured. scary

Jeez guys! I rolled because the driverside of the truck went up a dirt wall. Had nothing to do with the suspension...

Almost 21 years ago, to the day, I rolled in nearly the same spot in a 5 series BMW: rolleyes: my girlfriend was driving.

Was the 5 series 3 linked? That could have been your problem there too :flipoff2:

If you want to rebuild I have a tub/cab I'd give you for free. I'm near Boise.

No it has a J vin.

GD Booger, glad to hear you're OK.

On a lighter note I've never seen a $400 Safari snorkel perform as well as this Chinese one did!

Wow... crazy pics and crazy story. Glad you're all OK.

LOL @ the thread title. Sense of humor still intact

Since we know Booger is OK... hopefully we can point out that everybody can learn a lesson here.

I know that I will be going home and putting all of my loose cargo in the Hardigg case like it should be and strapping it down, like it should be.
