And it felt GREAT too!!
Gawt damn it felt soooooo good to back in a real rig in the dirt and rocks again, even if just for a bit!!!!

Is that color the same as the at-least-similar fj40 color from the '79+ years?
I would love to see some detail shots of the shackles, spring flatness, steering clearance and the trac bar when it's twisted up like that. I still haven't ever done that despite having driven mine 500 mi and already have the tranny back out for a fix.
If it was me, I'd hit the visible parts of the radiator with a light coat of dark gray primer and get a shiny new TOYOTA logo in the center of the bezel.

I get out on a very limited basis in my DD Tacoma, but all I would do is think about what I COULD do w/ my 40 and what it will BE like w/ the 40 etc.
I've done enough playing now, and I've gotta get the details squared away so I can really begin enjoying the rig. I've got a good idea (for now) the little issues that need tending to.
So yes... It feels great to have a real rig again to do what I love.

I wheeled my taco through death valley twice. Granted, it's not that hard of wheeling, but...wheeling none the less!
It did great. Just made me nervous taking my DD. That's the bread and butter I'm still making payments on!

I spent about eight or so months without a front driveshaft on my truck, and seeing pics of folks here doing their thing with their own vehicles was torture. It's nothing like two years, but it's empathy.
Now get out there, and wheel!
