Does anyone know where to find the rubber hose elbow that attaches to the bottom of the OEM charcoal canister?

It's pictured below and has a grommet on the top that fits under the attachment plate and a metal port at the bottom where it connects to the breather hose.

Mine got brittle and broke while working on my cruiser. I Would like to replace it with a new rubber piece but Toyota doesn't have this part available as it was part of the now discontinued charcoal canister.

If anyone knows where to find a part like this, can you please post up?

Thanks

It's just a length of hose that runs into the driver's side fender.

You don't need it.

Also I am shocked if your original canister is functional.

It was the piece that screws to the canister that connects to the hose that you are referring to.

The canister is still working great, I am not getting any of the issues that others have complained of, i.e. no fumes and no high gas cap pressures even with my sub tank.

I ended up repairing the broken piece with a vacuum fitting.

JEEPER____

"The "tank" port on the canister uses a larger diameter hose barb, but a little persuasion works."

On the OE hose how did you get it over the larger Tank Barb with our breaking the plastic peice. I dont want to brake it?

Thank you for the tip!! I changed my canister over the weekend and it works great! no more whooshing sounds when I fill up with gas!. and it reduced my hard starting!! Thanks a bunch!!

Are the two hoses coming off the top of the canister "pre-formed"?

Yes but you can use regular evap line from the auto parts store. Unless your anal about having bends in it.

Yeah, agree. That small hose will bend just fine.

I just bought the VC120 from AutoZone and its now $54.99. A bit more than the $36 others have paid. Mine made by Rochester, its all plastic and Made In USA.

Can you post a picture, I ordered that also and it looked broken (separated at the bottom) they "sent it back" and got a "new" one in but it looks identical.

Thank you, it just seemed odd since one side had hardly any gap but the other had nearly an inch.

That bottom part popped off several times while I wrestled with installing it. The new can is larger than the old can.

I shimmed the existing bracket at three locations so the cover for the adjacent fuse box would clear it.

Seems to be working ok though......

I just used the upper bracket as the lower bracket is blocked by the wiring harness. Removing the battery box might be needed to get the lower bracket to work. The upper bracket should hold it till I get a round to it.

I did the same. Eliminated the lower....
