Are any of you wiring them in versus using an accessory socket plug? If so, any guidance? Was thinking about using an open switch on my Switch-Pros to power it, keeping the plug open for other uses.

@CharlieS I put mine on a SwitchPro port for easy control (and leaving my ports open). Hardest part was deciding which sticker to use... ;)

I'm assuming that it is as simple as cutting off the plug and throwing the power and ground wires on the switchpros?

I was a bit peeved to see that they wired the negative around the positive (this is a VERY common setup for 12v connectors). So, I had to untwist the fine negative spooling and twist it into a line that I could put into a connector. I then repurposed the Weboost connector for the 2amp usb charger.

For the We Boost users that added either the RV antenna was it plug and play or what was needed to plug into your existing system.

Also, is there a difference in performance from the OTR or RV antenna? Looking at a more permanent idea for the LC.

They are both the same antenna, the OTR just comes with more pieces for a more versatile installation. Plug and play with the OTR was my experience.. They both need an SMA Male to SMB Adapter for the Drive Reach.

Thank you

I installed this unit at my cabin back in the woods. I could barely get a signal, always losing calls, and data was pretty much limited to 3G speed. After installing the weBoost, I now get 2-3 bars, and LTE all the time. 5-6mbps of data, way back in the woods. Incredible! It was incredibly easy to install, and I mounted my exterior antennae on a 10ft pole, very simple.

I was driving around yesterday without my Weboost in the car. Man, one really forgets what a difference it makes until it's not there. I'm almost always streaming something in the car and without boost, the signal dropped at least 3 times. Annoying.

Where have people put the big red heat aluminum sink looking box? Under the passenger seat? I currently have it installed in a tundra that has a massive amount of empty space under the center console, but plan to move it over to the 200 shortly. No sense in reinventing the wheel...

I've been debating whether to mount it and it may be more trouble than it's worth. I have it tucked under the passenger seat and it stays stays in place and out of the way enough where it is.

Here's how I installed mine:

Thank you for the link, I ordered mine up with the OTR antenna!

We used weBoost on an RV trip on the east coast and it boosted the service in 9 out of 10 places. It even boosted in an area on the road where we were roaming and could not make a call but when we used the weboost we made our call to get out of a jam. I would highly recommend this product. It’s super… I have included actual testing before and after boosting… the after is with the indoor antenna right against the back of the phone for best results. As you get further from the indoor antenna the boost is lessened. For me, this is no issue as the indoor antenna can be moved when streaming a movie or downloading on the road. I got rid of a wifi booster that never worked to the Weboost.

So I have an opportunity to work with them on a group buy where I can get nice discounts for mud members on Wilson Pro/WeBoost products, but I am still unsure if thas the route I want to go.

How do you like it after a few months? Would you recommend it to other members?

@SharpeCat if you put a group buy together, I would be interested
