very nice! good work to get done.

Thank you. I really went back and forth on taking this job on. It seamed way out of my league but I'm glad i did it. It's not pro level but I feel pretty darn good about it.

Good job! I am all too familiar with that job, be happy that your floor pans are in good shape :) Not many are willing to dive in that deep, kudos Sir

Thank you, I had to do a small amount of floor patch work. Mostly small holes a hit with the welder then primer and paint.

Nice job on the prep and welds. Good to see you are taking care of your drill bits. Tap magic is great stuff! Most people just drill and do not add anything for lubricant/ cooling.

I love that stuff. I use it all the time. Makes the job much easier than just trying to plow thru it dry.f

When you're all done with all painting and welding, you might buy a can of aerosol Lithium grease, and shoot it up those drain channels. This will act as rustproofing so that this never has to be done again.

That's a great idea... I'll try that.

For non-OEM seats, those look great! I presume they are comfortable?

I have yet to do a long road trip in them but so far around town they are great. My lower back could only take about 20 minutes in the blown out OEM seats so I had no choice but to do something about it. I made a sweet roll around the garage bench with the old seats.

that looks great...ordering my carpet now. Can you tell me about what you laid down underneath as far as the foil backed and the jute? My rig came from AZ so I am hoping I dont run into the rust problems that you did.

Joe,

Carpet looks good. Nice install job. One of the better installs I've seen with my kit.

Jason

Hey Jason, Thanks. Carpet is really nice. High quality for sure. Makes my truck feel new. Even gives it "that new car smell".

I did a crap job on the wheel well vinyls. Those are really tricky. I need a do over on those for sure.

Question... Got any tips on the rear tailgate carpet? That's the one thing that is still outstanding. The carpet piece doesn't have the overhang vinyl like OEM so you can't re staple (at least I don't think you can) to the masonite. Curious how you or others have done this. One day I won't need that carpet there cause I'll be able to buy that slick storage mod thinga-ma-jobber you sell... It's on my "One day on my 60 list"

Joe,

Pull the carpet off the old panel. And use 3M 90 strength adhesive and glue it to the hardboard panel. Works like a charm and holds great.

The WWCs are a pita... I fought mine for two days and finally got it where I liked them.

Hey Joe, are what seats are those? Do you like them? They look like the Corbeau seats.?

Corbeau Sports posted earlier. These are the same ones I bought for the canopy rig build. Remind me when you come back up and I'll let you sit in one. I love the Volvo S70 seat and this is as close to it as I can find in style and comfort. PLUS available in cloth.

Thanks J, yeah when I was there I meant to ask if you had got them in yet. Cloth is key! Thank you.

Nice work!!

any pics of your sweet roll around bench for the garage from repurposed OEM seats?

What a great transformation! How does it sound inside now?

It sounds great. Huge difference from before. I was not conservative with the Fat Matt. I put that stuff everywhere. Except the rear doors, only because I ran out of material. I plan to order a smidge more and do those as well. Well worth the extra work to do it. I do wonder if using the higher cost brand name material "Dynamat" makes it any better. I went with lesser expensive Fat Mat that I bought from Amazon.

Long story of how I got the bottom frame. It just so happened to fit perfect under the 60 Seats. It’s great for drinking beer and rolling around while you watch someone else turn the wrench.
