survey is done and big thanks to ONSC for having us and for all your hard work that went into it. I am already looking forward to next year!

Had a great time meeting folks from Mud and putting names and faces with avatars. Even with the heat and humidity it was a wonderful time!

If I bring the new build it would probably win the Most Modified award but I think counted out for the Iron Butt since it will be on a trailer :)
Can't wait to see what you bring next year.

Thanks for a great weekend guys! It was fun seeing y'all again, and meeting many more new people as well. I know my dad had fun getting to talk with y'all and have his first experience off-roading / crawling ^_^

Here are links to some of the drone video clips I took. (I'm awful at video editing... So if anyone wants to use them, feel free)

I just happened to catch the narrowly averted disaster with my drone.

Now, before anyone comments that drones are illegal in National Forests or specifically Uwharrie, they are not; they are illegal to fly in National Parks.

Stump, you are absolutely correct. I've flown my drone on the trails in Uwharrie (I would not recommend it).

^^^^ @cruisermatt

The whole rear end came up off the ground!! Jesus.

Me: "what narrowly averted disas... oh."

seemed soooo much faster watching it happen!

@cruisermatt I never thought I'd say this but, I commend you on using that tree as a brake. That was some quick thinking if I've ever seen it. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse.

Wow that was a wild ride!

Ok that video needs to be either hidden away quietly or submitted to viral hog for a few grand in income. Maybe you’d consider splitting it with Matt to get his truck fixed.
And Matt. That s*** looked like those RC car videos you see! Had no idea it was that big of a deal...

Yeah guys. it was pretty terrifying. Guys who have never wheeled with a front locker and no ram assist won't realize how quick the front end can steer if one tire catches something with some speed, add no power steering to that and forget it. It wanted to keep steering right and it took all I had to point it at those trees. I was actually aiming for the smaller tree to the left but I guess the bigger one worked too. :)
I'm still not exactly sure what happened. What I'm guessing is that I somehow stalled (manual transmission) and my doubler popped out of gear (it has happened once or twice), hence why I suddenly lost control. Obviously no steering or power brakes. I think I was able to re-start the engine and I was trying to get it in gear but it wasn't happening with the speed. Probably wouldn't have made a difference.

It would have been a really nasty if it had went roof-over with that speed and angle. It looks like my super soft suspension absorbed a lot of the bounce, a more regular 60 would have flipped for sure.
