May bring all 4 kids but they don't eat anything that don't start with a p and end in izza so no worries.

Sorry for the late notice but Marie and I wouldn't miss it for the world. Planning on coming down after work on Friday evening. Marie has signed up to help Dave with registration and I can lead (if needed) an Easy ride on Saturday morning again. Looking forward to it... and praying that a cold front blows in late next week.

Thank you to Trollhole's Cruisers for their generous donation to the Driver's Raffle of a PVC Soft Top and hardware kit for 40 series Land Cruiser valued at $1,400.

As the lucky winner will be able to choose both the color (Black, White, Sandalwood, Charcoal or Buckskin) and the window layout (OEM 7 window or Trollhole Style), I have posted a picture one of the tops on Marshall's 40.

To see additional pictures and get full details on soft tops, bikini tops and dusters Trollhole has available, check out: Factory FJ40 Soft Tops, Bikini Tops, and Dusters..

Since I don't know anyone, thought I would include a picture of me and my family. Looking forward to getting our groove on at Carolina Relic Run.

Bahh ha ha ha! I wish my mustache looked that good!

For those of you that need a little more inspiration for the event, here are some suggestions for the Best Dressed award.

It will be warm out so this mesh shirt and other short sleeve shirts just seem like the most logical options.

Read the fine print. Surely this group has a lot of guys that should be wearing a pair of these.

We don't have an evening wear category but I'm considering it having seen this.

Holy Crap, I had that mesh shirt in black back in the day. Wore it with TIGHT cut off sweatpants to a Christmas function. Needless to say, someone should have told me not to do that.

A new addition to the raffle!! We have a truck awning courtesy of Ronrar from Iguana Tents!! Thank you sir!!

WOW!

Edit - I forgot to add, I will be there for the Relic Run and raffle even if I have to miss my own funeral.

I hope everyone's last minute preparations go smoothly and that everyone is excited for what should be a fun weekend.

As the forecast is calling for only somewhat overcast skies on Friday and Saturday, please be sure to pack some sunscreen.

I don't want to clutter this thread up with discussion, but as we'll be in the woods, please be sure you (and your kids) apply bug spray with DEET and/or wear clothes treated with permethrin. If you forget to pack some, please be sure to ask someone else. I'm sure most will be happy to share.

Thank you to those that have let me know that they or others they know will be attending. For those that haven't, it isn't too late.

Please be sure to thank all the volunteers throughout the weekend and to show your appreciation to the sponsors for their generous support.

If you have a side-dish or dessert that you are known for and want to share it at the group dinner on Saturday, I'd love to sample it.

If you need to reach me by phone at any point, call me at Seven Oh Four-779-499 Nine.

If anyone from the Triad is going down Friday afternoon to camp, please let me know. I have something I need to get to JohnV the earlier the better.

David, Marie and I are going down Friday afternoon if that's soon enough. Any chance you can drop it off at our house?

If you are working Friday I could drop it by there. Friday is going to be very hectic for me.

Working Friday until noon (in Archdale) if that's better for you.

@David1947 and @77 KROOZER It'd be nice to get this on Friday and have it for the Saturday ride, but it won't kill me if it doesn't happen. I might do stupid things if I have it, and I can still ride without it.

Wow. That sounds kinda sketchy. FYI we're talking about a skid plate.

So... We're bringing the green/black 40 and the white LX. The green/metal tape 80 is staying at home. Now I'm realizing that ONSC has 3 aftermarket green 40's w/o white tops and a crap ton of white LX/80's. Am I just gonna have to metal tape ALL of my trucks to stand out? I think I have an extra roll of that stuff around here...

Excited to meet up with you guys to have a great weekend with some awesome weather. We'll be trucking up from Atlanta Friday at the crack of dawn in the 75. It'll be a slowwwwwww but rewarding roadtrip!

John, I plan to be there about 8am or so which should give you plenty of time to attach the skid plate. However, if the world isn't perfect that morning, I would want the plate to arrive earlier. Hopefully Mike and I will work out something. If not Mike maybe Jason if he goes on Friday.
