I gathered these parts recently to build a 2 x 200W audio load. The plate resistors are 16 ohm, 200w Fanuc drive brake resistors. I plan to run two in parallel to get two channels of 8 ohms.

This T2333 IC is used in many Denso modules (ignition, emissions, fan timer, ac amplifier). Since I have not been able to find a datasheet for this thing, I took what information I had from the various circuits I have found it in and set up a test for it. Now I know exactly how it works.

Working on this more today. A couple of problems common to these is the tuner mechanism hanging up and the on/off switch not working or intermittent. The mechanism lubricant cakes up over the years so the first step is to clean it. I use CRC Electronic Cleaner for this.

The buttons disengage the tuner knob clutch when you push them to allow the pointer to move freely. This mechanism tends to hang up so the tuner knob doesn't work after you push and release a preset button. The following two photos illustrate the two conditions.

I clean the mechanism and lubricate the friction points. Setting a preset at each end of the dial then alternating between them is a good way to free up things and give it a good exercise.

The other issue is the on/off switch. Again the lubricant gets caked up inside.

I clean everything up and re-lubricate then reassemble. I find stacking everything up with the control setting in a deep well socket works well.

Back together and testing in progress. This one is for sale.

I also installed a new power connector.

I got back to my stereo load today. Made a trip to the hardware store. I got these angle brackets that I bent in the vice to be the feet. I used some 3mm threaded rod and spacer tubes to create the resistor "stack". I have right around $100 in this. We'll see how those resistors hold up.

When I added the monitor to my work bench I also added a wireless keyboard and mouse. The reception for these was poor so I got this USB extender off ebay for $39. It has a Tx and Rx with a length of cat 5e between them. It works great.
