Hello I am selling my 1986 HJ60 Landcruiser. Here is a bit of the history on this vehicle, and I suppose my family. This vehicle has been in our family since around 1988. I was at the Toyota dealership when a fellow brought in the HJ60 to trade it for a truck. Of course I talked to him about his Landcruiser as I currently had a BJ60, but had had FJ40’s since my very early 20’s. This HJ60 was in show room condition when it was brought in. The seller still liked it but he was a farmer and wanted a truck. It just so happened that my father had talked about getting a Landcruiser so I phoned him and said that if he wanted this one it wouldn’t be here long, so my Father came down to the dealership the next day and bought it. During the time he had it he was getting it rust checked as I was getting mine done too. From what I remember I don’t recall him having to do any mechanical work to it other than later on around 92 he complained about the heater was not kicking out enough heat on the highway in the winter. We both weren’t sure if that was because it gets past -40 here in the winter or if it was the truck. In 95 my father passed away and I inherited the heater problem, but that was ok because the HJ came with a lot of great memories. I changed the heater core and you could not keep your hand in front of the vent it was so hot. Over the years I have done some work, which I have listed. As mentioned earlier I also have a FJ40, which I drive during the summer and store in the winter. I have been retired for a number of years and am in my sixties. I am currently sorting things out to move to Vancouver Island and the milder weather. We have a Sienna Van and two Landcruisers, which is too many vehicles to take. My daughter wants the FJ40 but can’t take it now. So I will take it with me. Our HJ60 is now for sale.

I stopped rust checking about 15 years ago as it made a total mess of my garage, but I do crawl under it and spray various rust inhibitors.

I do have pictures of when some of the work was being done like the front Axels and the rear panels being replace just have to find them.

This truck runs great. Have always had seat covers and floor mats and just took them out to show the condition of the carpet and the seats as I thought someone would ask, which has only been vacuumed. I may have missed some info its only because lots happens when you own landcruisers for 40 years.

I read thru the ad quickly, is it an auto or 5 speed?

Can you share under carriage pics? Engine bay pics and interior? Clean title? Can this be titled in the us?

Here are a few pictures of the interior, there is already one picture of the engine bay posted on the original ad. I don't have any pictures of the undercarriage on file but will take some and post them.
The title is clear, as far as importing to the USA from Canada from what I have read on this site there is no problem but that said I have not done it before so I would check with your customs on what needs to be done as far as permits go.
If there is something in particular you want a picture of let me know.

guess no one is interested. Could be the price of how far that is away from the US.

It's likely the import + transport cost that makes it a tough sell. To get a 60 imported from BC recently, it cost customs broker, customs fee, import tax, transport fee and other small miscellany. It gets expensive fast. Anyone in US not located in the pacific NW is likely going to have min $3,000.00 worth of charges just to get it to them, on top of sales price.

It's unfortunate because it looks like a pretty nice truck.

H 60 ..Sold .. Thanks for everyones support and interest in this sale.

VW .. your right as there hoops to jump through and extra costs when importing. I bought a couple of ski-doo's from the USA to take home to Canada when our dollar was on par, never used a broker and had my paperwork done before I hit the border and had no problem there, paid the tax and got a safety check and I was off sledding and for me it was a Great deal. But this is from the USA into Canada so who know how things go the other way.

However, if I took in consideration that there was a cost ..money wise for my time, traveling and sorting out the paper work and phone calls it was not so much a great deal.. lol.. but I am retired and jump at the chance for a road trip / adventure into the USA.
