Gorgeous painted rolling mountains! Love the grayskull sticker. Wild abandoned house, sweet graphite paint. And pisser to your window! But its all good.

@Silveredition We did Shark Bay/Steep Point/Coral Bay in August 2014. Had a cracker of a time.

Sometimes I forget about this thread and then someone else posts to it and then I get stoked to get out camping with my '62 again! Here's one from two weeks ago:
Did a little camping/fishing in North GA. The views don't hold a candle to some I've seen in this thread from out west, but its still quite nice. Good trout fishing too.
Hope that canoe anchor holds.
Tassie or Baden Baden, I would pop over for beers either way. I have a cousin wanting to move back to Melbourne and you'd be a stone's throw. Tasmania is very much a target on the world list for me. I also try to get out to a fairly small software user's conference in Fulda every year or so, and work in a couple week's vacation during that trip. Very much enjoyed the Schwarzwald and loved the old baths in Baden Baden. Email me some contact info and I will stay in touch!
Certainly you can drag the kids out to our paradise sooner than that.
We have neat things for them, like
wild mustangs
antelope herds
nice natural hot springs
Forests with massive trees, unspoiled natural coast line with few people, volcanic mountains, plentiful creeks, rivers, lakes and waterfalls (very similar feeling to the Schwarzwald).. all within 2 hours of each other, a lot of variety.

@umpqua did you have to make reservations to camp or just off the path ? Looks awesome and i want to go!
This is on BLM land so no rez. I can tell you that someone (guess the BLM) has put up some boulders on the main gravel road to keep people from driving right up to the spring but we came in from a different direction. No keep out signs or anything else. IF anyone like the BLM showed up it would be pretty easy to plead ignorance. We were the first to park but some other Mud guys showed up for a morning soak and parked next to the spring as well.
This is a very nice hot spring in a remote area. One hell of a view.
Doing a test run of setup during an overnight event out of town. Figuring out what works and doesn't.
