Just called Truck-lite. This is their only 24V option in Stop/turn/tail light: http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wc...10001&storeId=10001&productId=24032&langId=-1

$54 each
If your going to use this all in one "North American style" combo light then you'll need to add a 24v logic circuit coming off your Cruiser that goes from the 5 wire harness with separate brake and signals to 4 wire harness with combined brake and signals (this can be done with a few 24v relays). That or keep it 5 wire and still add individual signals. So you got a few options. For me it was easier to just order the 24v 5 wire combo lights from OZ.

Malahki - You have outshot my electrical knowledge. Would you mind giving a little more information on what you're proposing? The OEM wiring harness is 5 wires? Ground, tail, stop, right turn, left turn??

It looks like the 24V truck lite is 3 wire: Ground, tail, stop/turn.

Can you link to an example of something that would be a direct swap? I checked out that ebay AU link you sent, looks like the turn/tail lights have 3 wires and the turn/tail/reverse have 5?

Thanks!

I probably wasnt very clear but yes coming off your Cruiser you will have 5 wires: ground, tail, brake, right, left.
North American lights with combined tail lights and signals have: ground, tail, brake/right, brake/left.
So yes when looking at tailights the North american will have 3 wires per light and OZ will have 4 per light as it goes without saying each side only gets one signal

Here is an example of a 5 to 4 wire logic circuit you can buy (this one is 12v but 24v ones can be found)

And here is a pic of the tailights I purchased from Ebay in OZ. They are 4 wire tail/brake/signal combos

To give you an idea about the use of relays here is the link to the trailer step down conveter (24v to 12v) combined with 5 to 4 wire logic box that many of us mud members have built to be able to pull our NA trailers with. It could be modified to suite your needs depending on what type of lights you choose to go with??
https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/trailer-lights-logic-circuit-step-down-voltage-converter.43609/

Here is the one I built:
5 wires in from the Cruiser 24v lights
1 wire in from 12v converter
4 wires out to run 12v trailer lights

At the end of the day its a choice between 24v simplicity or 12v readily available parts

...2) Again as seen in the previous bumper pics the spindle for the swingouts ends up right behind the tailights and severely blocks the view of the signal lights. To me thats unacceptable and needs to be addressed, even if its just adding the 1" round amber LED's for the signals. For my bumper build I ordered 24v LED combo tail similar to what are on the Kaymar bumpers (as seen on Cdans pic below). I originally wanted to go with 2" or 2.5" rounds but you can't find them in 24v and multi function (marker light / brake light). I think thats why the Cruiser Outfitter project ended up with signals and back up lights instead of a combo brake light???

That is exactly why that prototype bumper had the dual lights per side. New bumpers will have a light more like the Kaymar LED offering. We're working with a supplier of said light that has a 10-30V DC option. Next round bumper should have that.

All while I'm sitting here at the desk doing a little trip planning. Looks like I've talked a buddy into Moab in March, so we're planning a route from Portland down into UT, through the Swell and then into Moab. Then perhaps the Kokopelli heading eastward out of Moab, then the long slog back from CO to PA. Fun stuff!

@cruiseroutfit What is the status of those rear bumpers? I really like the design and style, tried to talk to E1 about them but they didn't have a firm timeline.

X2, enquiring minds want to know. I would like to take the load of the spare off the tailgate ...

We are working out the minor details as time allows. Hoping to have shippable bumper kits (shipped from Cruiser Outfitters) in Feb/March.

Good info ....

I saw your truck in person today. Nice one, it's in great shape!
I suspect you're going to be very happy.

and FWIW, it's in very good hands.

Hi Norm, thanks for the message. That is really nice to hear! I didn't realize you were in the area? I'm hoping to spend a few days in BC after picking up the truck so let us know if you'll be around and up for a little mini adventure. A mini adventure because as you know after seeing the truck, it'll still be open diffs and running on 31s while up in your area :)

Ciaran has been great so far and sent me a few photos yesterday and sounds like the work is going well.

Hi Ben,

She is a beautiful truck and I'm very happy to be spending some time on it. Look forward to seeing you when you head out to the west coast!

For sure if I'm in town I'll come out for a day run. When are you planning on being here?

Norm - tentatively planning to fly into Seattle on Feb 4th or 5th, then head up to Chilliwack. Hoping to talk Ciaran and Jason into showing me around a bit or pointing me in the right direction for a few days. So if we can set something up for Friday or Saturday would be fun to meet a few local guys!

Boom, Jason @ Cruisin Offroad has the front bumper almost done! Add some shackles, cut the hole for the fairlead, add some tabs for the fog lights and LED light bar and weld it all up. Very excited!
