You do need a permit for the area and even if you dont go this Sunday you should have one. Permits are free via email from the Mesa ranger station

Bulldog free on-line permit link

Post up if you are interested - Its a nice run and part of the Great Western Trail, about 2.5 hours.

Stocker friendly

Maybe depending on meeting time

What gate are you starting at and coming out of? I have to be back for my sons B-day party at 1200 so I would be cutting it close. Devil on left shoulder says do it. Angel on right shoulder says don't take the risk of being late to your sons party. The third voice in my head says stay home and clean guns. :meh:

Sounds like you are carrying a lot of weight on your shoulders:D

The plan is to run FS10, start to finish. I have not been to Bulldog for several years. The last time for me was a night run and we exited Wolverine. Is one starting point better then another from a wheeling perspective?

Take your son with you. The party can't start until the birthday boy arrives, so you can't be late:idea:

I'm in. I like to run from south to north but either way is a good time. My favorite trail is Willow Creek up the 88, one way in and out, it's fairly short though.

Greg are you in? Its a easy trail.

Hi Phil

I'm allegedly going hunting with my son on Sunday out by Oak Flat.

If he cancels on me I'll make this run.

Do we have a time in mind ? I might be able to do both..

if you go in from the south or west, you go mostly up - if you come from the south it's mostly down

the west entrance leads through some really nice desert

as far as wheeling: LX with running boards did not sustain any contact of said boards when we did the run over Christmas

Go in at Usery Pass fr3554 instead of Blue Point north entrance and coming out at Wolverine is your recommendation?

I would definitely take the leg to or from Usery Pass, either go in or come out there
