bucket seat upholstery

I scored a set of first gen bucket seats at the pick n pull but they need re-covered. Does anyone know if/where replacement upholstery is available? I've searched with no luck, I suspect it will need to be done at an upholstery shop.

Don't think anyone makes replacements for them. Seat covers that are decent are even hard to come by for those, so yeah your best beat is probably gonna be to check with a shop.

None available as far as I could tell from lots of search about 3 years ago. You will need to go to an upholstery shop. No replacement foam available either but they should be able to help you there as well.

I put some good second generation bottoms and backs on my gen1 bottom frame after deciding I didn't want to invest the money in redoing the gen1 seats.

I've wondered if Gen2 seats would direct bolt into a Gen1.

I'm talking Gen1= 79-83, and Gen2 = 84-88(89).

I tried at the pick n pull, took 84-88 seat over to 83 truck, bolt downs are different. Thanks, you guys have confirmed what I had concluded.
