It was cold AF here in Denver, but only 2" of snow...... looked like a blizzard during the Broncos game but it was windy and not much snow.
CO is so very far behind on snow pack this winter..... this summer will be dangerously dry (because of the low snow pack) and i'm sure we will have tons of fires!

Well getting back to Cruiser stuff, I was chasing a clunk outback and I thought it was a hiem on the sway bar. Turns out the arms had a lot of wear on them

So I reached out to Curry the makers of the Rock Jock sway bar for some incite on why this happened. They claimed that they had not see this before and that it was because I did not have the bolts tight. Well that was just not the case, the bolts where tight.
I have been running these for 5 years and I am really happy with the way they work !!
Not very happy with how they threw the blame on me.
I'm committed to this sway bar as I french-ed the mounting bar through the frame so I ordered a set of new arms.
I'm also changing up the hiem mounts at the end of the arms. More on that later.

I have six of the 39" Mud Hogs so I rotated two of them into the mix. the two that came off looked like this :hmm:

The better ones are like this one 😁

Much better. I added balance beads hopefully it smooths things out a bit.

You're not the only person I've heard that story from about Currie. A friend was, "the only person who had ever broken"... I forget which rear end, it was a long time ago. Still, it sounds like the same old tricks. Their stuff is pretty good, but they don't seem capable of accepting that it isn't indestructible.

Same.

Took the Cruiser over to a friends for a trans service & brake fluid flush. When it was up on the lift we notice that one of the skids was bent and the front drive shaft was making contact with it.

Got it all straightened out and back on. after that I drove it to town 😲 it's a bit sketchy without the rear sway bar (still waiting on parts) but it's butter smooth with the newer tires with balance beads in them and on the front.

While I'm waiting on parts I jumped into installing a aftermarket auxiliary trans cooler on my tow rig.
New shop light works well 😁

Keep the clamp bolt tight and it all works out.

Like I posted the driver’s side was also stripped and it never came lose bolt was tight as it should be.
Do you work for Curry they put all the blame on me also.
If you every get you pile out of the garage maybe run it long enough to see how well the sway bar holds up and then comment 😉

So some stuff I was waiting for came in. I'm working on some custom sway bar mounts
I wanted a swag band saw kit for a while now.

I ordered the band saw from the local Hardware reconditioned on recommendation of the tool manager at half price 😍 he said there brand new returns.
Then I made this slide table, Perfect for repetitive angle cuts.

Easily cutting through the 3/8 steel.

This is the perfect setup for a small shop/garage like mine. Works well very easy to move around/ store and affordable. Super happy with it.

More on the mounts later;)
