I had just made a clean run of the obstacle and was sitting on top.
So I jump right in on the rescue and winched him up with without so much as a thank you. 🧐🤷‍♂️

Great shots Rich, and friends. Looks like an amazing time! Thanks for being badass, Rich and rescuing those who need it, but may or may not deserve it. I’m sure they were just frazzled after the tip-over. I would’ve crapped meself.

I saw the dissent 250 flop on instagram, but they left out the rescue part. :/

That little dropdown area where you took a picture of the white Lexus 550 chewed up the undercarriage of my minivan pretty good. Looks like fun, thanks, as always, for the pictures!

Awesome pictures. I've been itching to get back to utah since I picked up my 80. I've wanted to do the whole Kokopelli and top of the world for a long time and it's never worked out.

Shame about the Dissent guys flopping the 250. They have always been extremely nice in interactions, so it would be a shame to think they were rude. Hopefully it was just because they were stressed from the flop but good on you for being able to rescue them in a pinch.

IMO the hole recovery was harder then it had to be especially on my Rig and equipment !
With to Key players Dissent Off road & Stellar Built, I still had to ask for another Rig to anchor me as I was getting pulled down the hill when my winch was stalling I had to ask for a Snatch block to double the pulling power. Once we did that it was pulling me and the anchor rig down the hill and still stalling my winch.
Only then did they mention that the nanny's on the LC 250 would not let them release the parking brake or get it out of park or gear
Meanwhile my suspension was pulled down to the stops and sideways, the passenger front tire was get pulled off the rim the only thing that saved it is that I have bead-locks and I stalled out my winch numerous times.
Luckily our Trail leader had a jump box so they could get it started as the battery had died on the LC 250 then they were able to release the Parking Brake and get it out of Park and proceed with the recovery. 🙄

Was a great day on the trail. All the rigs did well with zero breakage. We pulled a lot of cable it's one tough trail. I was impressed with all the drivers !
Ben in the double cab mini pickup RHD was the stand out, He made every obstacle with out winching. His truck is well built and he is a outstanding driver.

We ran trails with Ben and His Dad everyday of the Event super nice people and always ready to lend a hand and help out.

Looks like a fun trip. You drive your 80 well. Good job on the recovery help. I watched video of the recovery the other day. Made me question whether or not I would take the 45 up that obstacle. You drive your 80 on a lot obstacles I don’t think I would attempt and you look good doing. Hope to see you at SAS again this year.
