Your a patient man, I'd bolt it in there pull it back out when I did the floors ;). Looking good -

Tucker
There is nothing to bolt it to! I'm practically levitating right now when I drive it. I had to beg Ige to test drive it.

Far from perfect, but certainly Rough n Ready! Good enough for now to prevent rust until I can spend some $$ on a professional paint job. Ace Hardware Rust - Stop Flat White & Rustoleum Ultra Flat Camo Brown. Look for the orange & yellow stripes above the apron in the near future!

Heck of a transformation, it's come a long way. Good Job!
That's all Ige & Pighead! I just cheered & stood back in amazement. I learned (and continue to learn) a helluva lot... Kruiser Karma Repair & Restoration is what the doctor ordered to soothe your F-Series soul!

So I drove the Pig into work again today (I've been driving it everyday to id any issues). The vacuum leak at the carb base seemed to have gotten worse overnight. It could barely get out of its own way & I got stomped at a stoplight by a fuel hauling semi. The issue was the studs at the base of the carb were too short for the Weber, so I replaced them with longer studs and really tightened the nuts. A quick spray of starter fluid indicated no leaks! BUT, in the process of putting everything back together, I managed to break the bolt at the end of the throttle cable. Two steps forward, one back...

I rigged it together for the ride home and Ol Rough & Ready ran like a wildcat with a hot knife shoved up its ass - very strong. Felt like I gained 100hp. I'll replace the throttle cable with another motorcycle cable ( that's what the one I broke was) and I'll move on to the next thing...

Great journey, look forward to more on this rig.

A conversation with Ige today revealed I don't have a checklist of everything I need/want done to my pig. Here's my list (in semi-particular order) of what I would like to do in the next couple of years or so:
-Tune-up
-Timing adjusted
-Floors replaced (this actually needs to be done ASAP)
-Recovered front bench seat installed
-Choke fixed
-Heater & defroster working
-Replace cracked windshield with my good one from Elwood
-New body mount bushings (1st gen 4runner?)
-Rear electric window to hatch conversion (like Deans)
-All new wiring
-Lizard skin & monster line interior
-Speaker and amp install
-New interior panels from the kick plate to the back doors
-Re-key all the door locks
-IPOR rear bumper
-Stout c-channel front bumper
-Sleeping/storage platform
-Interior spare tire mount
-Occasional rattle can touch up
-New headliner
-TBI install
-Gamiviti Roof Rack

Outside of those things, he's cherry. Other than the TBI, there's nothing really exciting or out of the ordinary on the list. Still trying to stay true to the original idea of a simple, tough, go anywhere, anytime, and do anything rig. Goal is May 2016 to complete.

Good list! When I do get my list made, I always end up sorting them in different ways, like what needs to get done right away vs. what is optional.

What would be easy for me to do vs. what will I have to pay someone else to do?

Lastly, what things do I already know how to do, or know who can provide me the goods/services vs. what items do I have no clue where to turn...

...Mocking up fitment of mini booster, early manifold & carb...it's tight but it fits.
H8 to necropost but Pighead, do you recall how you dealt with the vertical rib on the firewall?? Only thread I have found so far that even mentions the rib...

The saga continues...

All loaded up and off to the welder for floor installation. It's unsafe to drive-one bad bounce and I'm afraid I'd end up with a drive shaft enema!

Ironically, as I was driving to the welder, a neighbor with a pig for sale texted me that he saw mine on a flatbed and asked if I sold it. I told him no then he asked me how much I would want for it. I threw out a ridiculous number that I knew he would scoff at. He says "SWEET!" and says he'll get back with me!

Note: it's not really for sale. I mean, not REALLY, but...

In the meantime, I'm awaiting delivery of new weatherstrip for my doors and these apron mounted turn signals

I passed up 7400 cash dollar bills for my pig back in oh4. the guy was almost pissed off that I gave it zero consideration before telling him to take a hike...
