Bought this assortment kit at harbor freight last week and came in handy.

I got mine at my FLAPS (friendly local auto parts store).

Probably a stupid question, and quite
likely addressed in the instructions, but I assume that the brake booster vaccum hose is no longer needed. What are people using to cap the vacuum nipple?

Since the fitting was steel, I cut off the tube flush with the hex and welded it closed.

Including the correctly sized block off fitting would be a great addition to future versions of the kit.

Got mine installed today. Sure appreciate Torfab putting this all together. This is THE brake upgrade IMO. Made me realize just how shot my OE booster was.

Makes sense: it's a dirt cheap part, but makes it feel like more complete as a kit. Any time you can improve customer satisfaction for pennies has got to be a win!

Some of us have LS intakes for which GM offers a plug. Now, I got to find mine in my pile of parts as I removed it for one that allows brake booster vacuum.

Sadly, I don't think there is a GM part number separately from the intake. This is why I want to find my original one. Easiest would be to pull it from a junkyard intake or ICT Billet sells a metal one.

Thanks. I'll just find something random in the shop or measure it and buh something from Mcmaster carr or amazon. I like to keep the modifications looking clean so they don't attract any extra attention during state inspections. I don't need them looking too closely at anything.

Not to derail too much but are you planning on a vacuum pump delete? Place called hyperfab makes blanking plates. Might head down that path if its feasible.

shouldn't matter in CA, find a smog guy you "trust". If asked, tell them its OEM.

I have two boosters to try, one from a 2025 Honda Pilot (46000-T90-A130-M1) and one from a 2025 Honda Accord (46000-30A-A050-M1). I found these to be cheaper and have less miles on them than the 2018-2022 units I was seeing online. Both are from totaled vehicles with rear end damage and less than 10k miles on each. I'm hoping to go with the Pilot booster as it locates the larger electrical connector on the driver's side rather than the engine side. If that doesn't pan out then I'll use the Accord unit. Photos below show both boosters wearing the TorFab brackets as a test fit, not installed or powered up yet. If for some reason they don't work out, I'll post why. YMMV
