Too far north. Too far east.
In the local U-Pull. It's rough, but I thought I would post it up just in case.

did you happen to get door panels? I know theyre a little beat but rears dont look too bad. Interested in the seatbelts too.(fronts)

It appears to have dealer add on A/c too.

It did not have AC. I didn't do any harvesting of large parts, mostly because I didn't have much time and I really don't know what is important. I seem to recall seatbelts.

I don't need it, but how's the windshield?

Just depends on your time and interest. any small easy stuff is good like the rear reflectors, door panels if good (if it has good cargo panels I'd put myself on a list for those--Im in Las Cruces).

Lower door hinges are always needed by folks. I will try to think of more.

Looking at it gasdoor and lock, side marker, under the hood or dash relays (including rear window breaker, etc). if it is there the rear window motor which may or may not work and can be tested running a + and - from a 12v. door cranks and handles etc.

A good late model hood has value but usually can only be sold locally, but some one might hit the boards travelling thru.

I can answer some of this. Keep in mind I'm a mini guy, though I did receive some phone coaching while there.

  • I attempted to remove the rear reflectors. Screws were rusted on and need to be drilled.
  • Gas door and lock were in good shape.
  • Side markers ... passenger was missing lens. Drivers the trim was bent. Screws were rusty and were not coming out.
  • Windshield was toast.
  • Side glass was good except for maybe driver's door.
  • Rear window motor assembly was still there ... I had to get it out to retrieve the door latch (my coach told me it was important).
  • No idea about relays. I seem to recall seeing a bunch of something under the dash, but don't know what they were.
  • Lower door hinges? Really?
  • Engine: Dizzy, coil/ignitor still there (almost snagged ignitor). No accessories. Carb, manifolds, head, block still there. Carb was removed from the manifold, but left behind. I didn't study it for issues.
  • Front axle MIA. Rear axle still complete.

[*]Lower door hinges? Really?---yeah the spring actuated hinge goes bad a lot and so people need this or have to rebuild via someone like SOR. Though, Think Brett was going to offer his services for this??????????

Keep in mind for the most part a 2f is a 2f...so parts there are gen. good. it is all the things fj55 distinct that are often problems to find and desirable.

Oh, and the switch to the rear window (the key operated one on the tailgate).

BTW looking at the nice straight (unfortunately welded ) front bumper..........Was that PIG in the Crusades?

Hope that helps...gotta go teach my daughter to drive...as if I knew how. :steer:

where are you located i could so use all 4 doors.

Ah, albequerqe, NM. I have NO idea how to spell that. Sorry to the folks who live there.

Pappy, are you intending on heading back? If so, I would like the door panels. at least from the rear doors.

As for the Crusades, I believe it was, it was used for crucifiction of non-believing midgets.

The only thing left from the air cleaner was the top.

Ahem...you mean, of course, non-believing "little people".

How good is the hood? Any cracks in the usual places? If it is in good shape I could use it and I don't mind picking it up in early August.

I have an early hood on my truck but it should have a later model hood.

would like the dash mounted tailgate and rear heater switches along with the heater valve; the one on the firewall that opens the warm water flow to the inside; TIA

Lou
