Just spent the last 4 days driving into a 50mph headwind pulling the wife's camper (how is it a headwind both ways?). I hate Wyoming. Really kicking myself for not claiming my spot in the first batch of shipments.

Dude, I hear ya! My club is asking me when will I lead the second part of AZBDR and possibly finish it up. This means that I'd have to drive West on I-40, against a head wind for hours and I AIN'T gonna do that until the turbo is in. I've done that drive on I-40 few times and it plain sucks balls when you gots no balls :bang:

You could claim a spot on the first batch? I thought this whole process were like those days on the playground, where I'd always get picked laaaaaaaaast last. :flipoff2: 🤣

No, he was an early pre-order. Those with early pre-orders can sometimes push their delivery dates for any myriad of reasons *cough* the wife might find out *cough* so they push to let others move ahead.

No dramas and no hard feelings about it, just thought it would have been a funny joke. Does anyone have any other "street racing" stories yet?

Two bits of good news:
1. PTP is almost done with the prototype on the downpipe turbo blankets (no pricing yet)
2. I had asked them back in Feb about possibly making some wastegate blankets for the heck of it. They made some protos back in April but they wouldn’t commit to making. Well, if you are interested they are moving forward with making them for our wastegates. I can have them in a few weeks and they are $69

it’s the one on the bottom right. I’ll have some in soon to photograph and add to the site.

Does that area give off any more heat that the rest of the downpipie?

I am in for one. Need to order some stuff anyway 😎

For those waiting/hoping for a "test pipe", I did want to let you folks know that I've hit a little snag because it seems that pipe spec is a floating target. One end is a flange that is bolted to the rear cat and the front is a v-band that is clamped to the downpipe. There is no wiggle room. It seems that the measurement between those points can vary by up to half an inch. Some trucks may be dead on while others will see a variance. This is mainly the stacked tolerance found within my turbo kit and of course the abuse each individual rig's exhaust has been subjected to.

This isn't a definitive, just an update.

@NLXTACY any idea on what the D-pipe blanket will cost us?
thanks
