Sucks to here that. Guess my 3FE will get stuck with whatever cheapo muffler shop set up one of the PO’s had done and the cats I punched out.

That is until…..LS swap

He is right. The cost is too high for the market for a true stainless setup like we used to make. It would need to sell for $3k in quantity to make it worthwhile.

I'm trying to drum up interest for EMS to design a full manifold-back exhaust for FJ62s. Basically it'll be just like their FZJ80 exhaust, only for FJ62s.

Here's a thread with details of the FZJ80 exhaust. It's not cheap, but I'd pay it for a complete bolt-on system for my 62. https://forum.ih8mud.com/ih8mud-com-vendor-marketplace/323450-fzj80-exhaust-upgrade.html

If they get at least ten people interested, they'll develop a system for 62s.

Edit: Here's a pic of their finalized system before being shipped out

Any body making this manifold back 302 Stainless exhaust and able to ship a bolt on kit in 2026 for my 1988 FJ62. It seems OTRAMM stopped making them. Cruiser Matt's has a manifold back stainless into one cat which recommends ordering stock Toyota muffler assembly 17405-61240 which I don't think is stainless.

The Toyota tailpipe is less then $450 which doesn't even buy half the materials to make a muffler/tailpipe out of high-end USA stainless let alone the labor/fab time. Buy three of the Toyota muffler assy's and store two in your attic and you will likely be set for life.
