GOOD looking rig!

The retro emblems on the tailgate have been on my "to do" list for a while. You beat me to it, but I am not going to not do it. I promise mine won't be a copy of yours though.

One of the best looking 80s I have seen :grinpimp: Love the color!

Now that's saying something

OUtstanding. Someday when my paint starts to go, I plan to do a black and tan combo. Saving these pics as a reference :p

Looks awesome! So glad I get to see it in person soon. Great father son project and for a great ride. Worth way more than the 80, eh?

real  how about a front shot/pic of the hood and vents..

Here's a couple:

just one more "Wow that looks great"

Any pics of the new paint before you added the black trim to the doors? I've been fantasizing about tan paint, but in my dream it doesn't have the black trim.

Excellent work, look and very unique altogether.

Excellent job.

Bluetribal and jeffro109 here you go:

Spector Off-Road

Part # 350-08 Toyota decal $3.00
Part # 350-12 4wd decal on sale for $ 1.91

SOR has a 20 dollar minimum order as I recall. I ordered 4 sets for about 25 bucks with regular parcel post shipping. Good thing I ordered extra, the one Toyota decal I was getting ready to install had and orange line in it that my son luckily noticed, so we grabbed another and put it on.

Steve

Thanks

Thats an amazing looking 80. Is the 323k miles the original HG?

As far as I know. I bought it with about 150K. 91 and 92's (3FE motors) are not known for HG problems.

Any pics of the new paint before you added the black trim to the doors? I've been fantasizing about tan paint, but in my dream it doesn't have the black trim.

Here's one without the flares just before we did the black stripe. I like it either way. My son thought it would look awesome with the black stripe.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. My son and I sure appreciate them. It was a long 8 weekends getting this project finished, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Expecially now, that it is completed.
