Vote on wheels

Anybody know how to post a voting thread?

Here is the wheels I am looking at. I saw a set on a toyota pickup in Vegas this week, and they looked good. Not saying which one though.....

Vote for your favorite.

I will make an alternate suggestion.

Mickey Thompson Classic

the top ones resemble the factory alloy better than the rest ...
curious, with all the detail why not a factory alloy rim?
of the 4 shown, CD's choice appeals.

I would like the factory alloy rim, but I do not have any.

I have always liked the MT classics when Alcoa was making them. I like them a little less since they made the holes bigger. Maybe I'm a little too old school,

if you are not in a rush then shop the canadian for sale ads for take off factory alloy rims.
not sure what you will be paying for those but you could contact Akella to see what new factory are worth, just another option.
i do like the black on pollished alloy
but i like the factory rims on this one...

Are the factory ones the same as the USA early Toyota? They look like 90-95 4 runners

I really like the Teflon Mojave rims.. Also I had those alloy rims on my 1988 pick up if that's the route to broaden your search. I have seen them on craigs list for under $200..

91-92 FJ80 used a similar wheel. The main difference between the Land Cruiser version and the 4Runner version is the lug nut configuration. The Cruiser wheels have steel conical seats and use tapered lug nuts like a steel wheel. The 4Runner wheels use shoulder nuts with washers.

You could use 4Runner wheels with the associated lug nuts.

I took a set of those off my BJ74. 16x8.

They must not use salt on the roads in the winter where you are. Alloy wheels here get ugly in a year or so. I'm even more 'old school'. I much prefer the OEM 16" steel wheels [42601-60262-03]. There's a much better tire selection in 16" and with the combination of 235-85 or 265-75 it gives the 10% overdrive needed to comfortably cruise on the highway at 100kph.

the main difference between the 4play rims and 70 series rims is the off set.

The Teflon or the Mojave.

I like the Mojave, but not a fan of all black wheels. Black and Polished, like on crushers red truck I do like, though

The black ones in post #430.
