Got the pedals and boosters in.

The order for this is:

Brake Booster
Brake pedal
Clutch pedal
Clutch booster.

Any other order, and you take them out and start over. I did it different, and ended up taking things out more than once! Experience!

sorry buddy, had to put the old boy down today so didn't get a chance to take the pics
can you send me a reminder in the morning to wayne@crushersrule.com ?

Sorry to hear that

Yes...sorry to hear the news on your buddy. They never get easier...still stinging from having put mine down and in the dirt a year ago from cancer.

Beer and margaritas help. So do close friends for a shoulder to cry on.

didn't want to hijack the thread, sorry
words are appreciated.

i hope the parts list i sent you helps and Akella4X4 is top notch.

Very helpful. I sent him a wish list.

I found out something very interesting yesterday.

The lever part of the heater controls on an 85 LHD and RHD 70 series are exactly the same!!! You just flip it 180 degrees!

Each have recirculate in the center, but it moves from left to right side, and the vent control and temperature control flip from top to bottom on from RHD to LHD.

Maybe you knew that. I didn't!

Levers are the same. good thing, because the LHD one I had was broken.

I finished most of the interior wiring. Under dash, the only wires I had to lengthen were the filter and preheat lights. I will post a pic when done. Still deciding on the radio, gauges

For the rear, I lengthened the harness just before the center heater and parking brake wires came out of the loom. Added 6 foot to get the rear wiring back onto the right side. This worked best to get the rest of the rear loom where it needs to be. Still trying to figure out the trailer wiring. A diagram would be very helpful!

Finally got the dash back together. Really a lot of wiring for the radio and gauges, but I got through it. I went with ISSPRO Pyro, Oil Pressure and boost. Not totally satisfied with the altimeter pod---it would fit a lot better on a LHD dash pad with an indentation for the pod. Anybody have one? Otherwise, I have more work to do on that. I'm just hoping when I power it up, everything works, and no smoke! Is that asking too much?

Next will be to lift the body off the frame, and begin engine installation, running fuel lines, putting in the tank, etc, etc, etc

There will be smoke, you did a full engine tear down didn't you? You will have to brake it in....

Just one word.....

hint, take a look at my BJ70 work truck build and you will see how i modified the dash pad and pod to look factory.

tight fit for the gauges, eh?

EXTREMELY tight fit for the gauges! I was determined not to completely remove the top or bottom of the original bezel, so it was cut fit cut fit cut fit done.

Still not sure on the dash pad and pod. I am not sure if just cutting a slot will satisfy me, as the sides of the pod cover have flared a little over time. Will see though. Maybe some type of rubber trim or bead to cover the gap? I don't know yet

Wayne--a couple of questions.....

Where did you, or where can I source a 24v switch for fog lights that will fit in the Toyota space on the bottom row of switches.

Where did you mount the oil sender for the gauge. You mentioned by the turbo?

oil feed line to the turbo, either at the block feed end or the turbo end.
do you want a lighted switch or a black solid face? 2 wire or 3?

I did not do an engine teardown. Worried about wiring smoke!

Thanks for the oil gauge info. I would like a lighted Fog light switch. I am electrically challenged, so I don't know if I would need 2 wire or 3 wire. I just want to turn on fog lights, and I am going to run them through a 30 AMP relay

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge?

I will be looking at how you modified the dash pad, I'm going to use that pod to mount my 12HT boost and pyro gauge later.
