I can't wait to race you. My 2H vs. your 3B-t. I'll bet it is close! I may have to aspirate mine if yours wins though!

Why is my thread starting to smell like tofu?

Give me a burger.

That is gonna be one hell of a combo, super clean 62 with a yota diesel. How did you get the engine bay so clean, it looks freshly sprayed!

Thanks to the two meticulous previuos owners.......

The whole truck is that clean.

I used a castrol super clean and h20.

I am not done cleaning the undercarriage yet.

Both underhood and underneath will be getting new paint once cleaned.

The steamer I need, is booked for another week. (see post #43)

I am next on the rental list.

I'm extremely interested to see if that turbo's going to be big enough for the 3B.

why not dude .. ?

My kkk turbo come sized for 3B engine and are spooling pretty fast to make 14 PSI + in my 2H :D

First thing is to cut off the 3fe mounts on the frame...they are in the way...if you want I can tell you how I got the 3b mounts in the EXACT same location on the 62 frame as the 60...it is real easy.

just read this hole thred. Very impressive. I have a 62, almost as clean as yours, but not quite, some rust in a few spots, but nothing that cannot be fixed. And I live in michigan. so I was surprised to find it in the shape it was in.
I would like to try an isuzu swap in mine.

Are the bolt patterns for the yota 4sp and the H55F the same. Do they use the same clutch with same splines and such. How about hooking H55F to my t-case?

Are adapters out there for a H55F to SBC 350? I am yeat to find them, but I have found the isuzu adapters. http://www.isuzudieselswapper.com/

I would like to try it, do you have any suggestions, or advice.
thanks -nate the diesel newbie-

How about hooking H55F to my 62 t-case? (maybe, eaiser to use 85-87 case)

I will be installing a h55 somewhere in the future using 85.5 - 87 60 parts.

LANDA

Rented a Landa today.

http://www.landa.com/showproducttypes.aspx?power=40&type=1

180* H20 cuts grease like butter.

The rental fee is $80 for 24 hrs.

Since the rental shop is closed on Sun, I am keeping it until Mon.

So my $80 allots 48 hrs of steam cleaning magic.

I am going to clean the 3b tomorrow.

Were do people get the entitlement to swipe other peoples stuff...

Freakin awesome....Took me weeks to clean the gunk off you did in a day..

Looking great man, can't wait to see it in person

JEALOUSY is a be-atch! BUT, I GOT A NEW ROOF FOR $100! It's coming from NC and the dude is making a trip to Orlando in April and will swing it by. Rust, say your prayers!!! After I chop and swap, I will repaint and we will have ourselves a little beauty contest!

Anyone ever race a 3B-T vs. a naturally aspirated 2H?

Nice after pics with the clean truck. Keep up the work on the truck. What you are doing is a full tear down and inspection like that of aircraft. This is a a requirment for aircraft after the aircraft has accumulated so many flight hours. Never less its excellent you are taking the painstaking steps in doing a full inspection and replacement. Keep up the good work.

My money's on the 3B-T.

It depends on wheels and tire size, weight of the rig .. etc .. but in similar rigs, conditions .. my money it's also on the 3B-T

No chance for natural aspirated engines ..
