Al,

I took your advice and removed the chrome trim from the 62.

I started with the roof and de-chromed the drip rail.

I found PLENTY of dirt and moisture, but NO rust. WHAT A RELIEF!!!

ALL the dirt was cleaned up and the paint underneath was waxed.

Next, I then moved to the rockers.

They were fine, no rust or damage. I was not so lucky on the drivers fender.

There was a chunk of mud and a nice rust hole. (see pic)

I am glad it is down here instead of on the roof.

1000 thanks for helping me keep my cruiser rust free!!!

"Toyota Landcruiser Engine Repair Manual covers the B, 3B, 11B, and 13B-T 4cyl diesel engines. It is a factory Toyota manual sold in Canada to service the BJ-60(Station Wagon) and the BJ-42(short wheel-base like the FJ-40) vehicles. It has been out of print for over 10 years now and is tough to find. It measures 11"x8 5/8"x 1/2". It is in excellent condition with very little sign of use. Tough to find one in better shape."

more bj60 engine pics

I am swapping over:

3b
h42
xfer
d-shafts
flanges
radiator
dual batteries
fan shroud
gas tank
hard fuel lines
guages
pedal bucket

The 3fe and 3b have different motor mounts.

They are also located in different places on the frame.

This will require cutting the engine mounts off the bj and re welding them to 62 frame. (not by me)

The bj transmission mount will also need to be adapted to the 62 frame.

all parts will be cleaned and painted before installed in the 62

Very awesome man, I tell ya those chrome trims are the devil.

Let me know if ya need any other parts I might have some laying around. That 3b is killer. I love that engine....It was cool meeting you. we will have to meet up to hit the trails sometime in the future...

Yo bro. Looks GREAT! I can't wait to meet her. Name her yet?

That ******* chrome is the death of these beasts. Like all bling, it sucks and looks like s***.

I can't wait to race you. My 2H vs. your 3B-t. I'll bet it is close! I may have to aspirate mine if yours wins though!

That is gonna be one hell of a combo, super clean 62 with a yota diesel. How did you get the engine bay so clean, it looks freshly sprayed!
