there is a big wing nut on the top too, Pretty sure if I really sank the front suspension I would run out of bar travel and break something. We will see, should be fine for the road manners though.

You probably want to double nut the inside so those don't loosen up on you. Liking the rubber mat.

The sway bar links? Though the pressure from the bushings should keep em. But easy enough to throw a tack weld on there. Good idea.

Nice beer coozie. I actually have one that was a giveaway from a foam insulation company. Real nice with velcro to accomodate different sizes and all...

Nice looking rubber floor, too.

Thanks..
If you dont mind me askin' Where are you with the turbo?? I want to do mine also, but i don't know much about T's YET !!??

Well Pete as high as it is on my list I still need to cut the rust and re fab my rear fender wells thats high on the list. Finish the little bit of interior, buy another high angle joint and weld those two to a driveline and slip, sand, bondo, sand, primer, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, paint then top coat if I decide to, mount my rear seat, mount a ammo or other box.
AT that point, there will be a few other things that arise and I will need to do those haha.

Then... its either turbo or hydro assist lol. Probably turbo though. Plus I still need to build my roof rack... dang the list never ends.

I am a very quick learner but when it comes to turbos for some reason I get lost in all the jumbo. I would cruise over the the diesel section and search for sure, soooo much good (and bad) info over there on turbos.
As far as right now the plan is to just run a flipped manifold (though I may just build on from scratch) and a gt2052 with a 50 or 48 trim and .51 a/r 0r a Mitsubishi td04h 13t. Both more of a low end turbo for the 3b, but still shouldnt choke to bad around 3000rpms. I think unless you are rebuilding all components with high nickle stuff sticking full boost below 3-3400 rpms is good. My rig rarely sees that and its only briefly. After all its a torque monsters, Give me some boost at 1800 rpms to match!

Oh two other things guys, She is finally back in my driveway! yes I missed not driving her around. I will just cruise back and forth to the shop in her now until the turbo puts her back out.

And second, These engines LOVE Veggi oil, you can just hear it in her. Every time I switch over and she is warm and can hear her just start to prr and sound and feel more powerful. I think the slower burning fuel does better in these high compression engines. Not to say they dont to good in a 16-18:1 either.

That's good to know! I plan to swap to a 2H and I hope the same applies to that! Also, flipping the manifold, what is the benfit of that?

Lenin

$$$$ no other benefit, its actually not as good because its so offset you dont get a good back pressure flow. but its cheaper. 13bt mannys go for over 500$ I have my ps mounted down where the a/c would go so that wont be in the way. I dont know if you can flip the 2h, and remember the 2h doesnt have the piston oilers if I remember correctly unlike the 12ht so be modest with her.

Edit: by that I mean with the turbo, not the veggy oil

Yeah, I've been told about the oiling issue as well with the 2H. I don't plan on a turbo, just going veggie. How do you filter your fuel? You have a centrifuge, or do you use a barrel and just skim it off the top?

Hm, I guess I never answered your Q.
My setup kind of depends on what I am getting and how much there is. I will either pump into a barrel or cubbies and let settle for a few months then I use a modified rotary oil furnace pump to pump up through the setup on the first page. pressure regulator-5micron-1micron into settling tank. Heat the insulated setting tank let settle. pump from a few inches off the bottom into the storage tank. My storage tank also come a little off the bottom and has a drain from the bottom that I periodically pull water off of. (I pump hho tanks and they sometimes have quite a bit of water).

Centrifuge would be nice but I think even with one I would heat and settle. Oil heats extremely quickly fyi.
any updates? you doing this yet?

I I posted this a while back but talk about bad. I still haven't ordered the new ones yet.

I mounted the winch and temporarily tightened the preload on those trunnion bearings. Here a pics from camping a month or so ago, and so more recent pics with the winch mounted. I was a little worried about strength but we tested it pulling my buddies 4 runner and it was pulling against his full brake pressure.

I since then got stuck in the middle of a field while out turkey hunting :crybaby: I had to spool all the line out and then use two straps and winch at over a 45 degree angle with no fairleads mounted yet. But it did great.

on to pics, Gosh I want things to settle down so I can get back to working on her:D

Once I turbo I will need to fix this little problems, as of now I brought the pipe out a little further and it helped a lot.

I offset the winch so I could still see the TOYOTA when I get that painted.

Couple of my buddies lowered 328, this is why they have min bumper requirements!

Some people ask about my tires, here is them caked with mud. The outside cleans out fine, the inside not as well that tread is very deep though. Aired down they clean out much better. Also depending on weight I am running 22psi 24 when I am fully loaded. 22psi loaded has a lot of sway 24psi is perfect. 20psi feels good running logging roads unloaded.

haven't been on anything crazy with a need to air down but I will update on that when it comes.

Unfortunetly, no. I have no money that I can spare for any upgrades at the moment. So the diesel swap has been put on the back burner. Also, I'll keep you're filtering method in mind. It seems quite effective.

Build is coming along nice. Is that a 52 Dodge?.
J

Yup b3b 53 dodge job rated pickup, flat head engine, oil bathed air filter so cool! Hah my wife loves it but doesn't want me to have another project. I told her I would let her little brother drive it for his first car as he is getting his license soon and she said 'hhhhrrrrrr okay' haha score

That sucks, but I was there that diesel sat there for so long, but man it's so worth it. Every time I fill up, or fire her up I am so happy.

I like the look of the wheels. Nice tires too..

Thanks, I love those tires, it was between those and power king super traction I think? For the rims I am happy but I wish I didn't have to run a spacer but it's hard so find a good looking rim even when getting custom bs'n I really wanted as close to that split rim look I could get.

So I know I am still a ways away but I am still undecided on paint in two aspects.

1st go with 2k and paint and do it 'right'
OR 1k paint and have 'easy touch up'

Any thoughts?

2nd military green body with desert tan accents (bumpers, hoops, trims ect)
Or desert tan body with military green accents?

Any thoughts?
