funny you should ask........

well, i have been waiting patiently for the laser cutter to cut some for me but i keep getting pushed back due to them having much larger orders than mine to full-fill.
so i decided to build them myself. i have the parts cut and the holes drilled in the proper locations, just need to finish the assy jig tomorrow and then i'll have 10 sets ready to ship out by monday noon-time.

i'll post a pic of one tomorrow evening as long as i get some of them done. still need to weld and paint them.....

price will be $85 including shipping. if you buy both brackets, i'll do them for $160 shipped for the pair. please pm me if you'd like to order either or a set. i also have the sag ps mounting plate kits in stock.

thanks again!!!!!

I am currently installing a P/S pump on a 1982 FJ40 with the use of the Dorry/Georg bracket. I will also be keeping the smog pump on the vehicle.

My question is, where on the water pump housing do I install the tensioning bracket for the smog pump?

From the posted pictures, it appears that the tensioning bracket for the P/S pump attaches at the 5 o'clock bolt. Does the smog pump tensioning bracket attach at the 6:30 bolt?

If pictures are available, they would be most appreciated.

Does this mount the pump lower than the JT outfitters headbolt mount??

Will this mount work with a PSC pump for full hydro?

Thanks

iirc, i did have the ps pump adjuster bracket mounted at 5 and the smog adjuster at 630. lemme dig thru the pics i have an see if i can come up with something that shows it better.
i'd ask the owner to email me some pics but after i got it smogged, he found a buyer for it and it's gone. :frown:

if the hydro pump has the same bolt pattern as the "canned ham" style pumps, then it should work just fine.

full hydro on a 6 banger?!

i just checked and the other pic i have does not shed any light on the adjuster location so i'm afraid i won't be able to answer that question until the next rig comes in for the same job. and i can't remember exactly how it worked out so i'd rather leave the question unanswered than give a wrong answer.....

ps: everything is back in stock and ready to ship; ps pump and ps box brackets.

fwiw, i ended up having to take the ps box mounting brackst components to a machine shop to have the holes drilled. the laser cutter just was'nt accurate enough and i wanted them to be spot-on. now they are. :grinpimp:

Georg,

Thanks for confirming the locations of each of the adjuster brackets. I will do some fooling around with it and see if I can get it to work.

Thank you Sir!!!!

Appreciate you sending business my way.
I try to keep just about all the components for the Minitruck ps conversion in stock at all times.

Hello....sorry to write in this conversation after a couple of years off........I was reading and someone asked for a PS pump bracket for a B r 3B engine.....but I did not see any answers regarding that. I'm restoring a 1980 BJ40 with a B engine....I'm planning to install PS and air conditioner.....I already have the 3 groove pulley.....I have the saginaw conversion kit and the vintage air AC set........any chance to get the bracket ?? thanks

Luis

Hey Luis.
Sorry but we do not have a bracket for the 3B.
We have had a few inquiries so maybe we'll take a look and see if it's something we should come up with.

Hi Georg,
Do you have a pulley with little, or no offset, to fix my ps pulley alignment problem?

Can you take & post a pic of the front of the pulley where the pump shaft comes thru the center?
Looks like a "press-on" pulley. If so, then we only have the narrow 1/2" version. If it's a "bolt-on" style, then we have a billet aluminum version that'll work with the wider 14mm belt. You can also change the pump ( bolt vs press ) if need be.

Georg

That is the Volvo/Saginaw press-on pump affair.

I know that there are many variations of the canned ham style GM PS pump.

From what vehicle could I source the best PS box for this bracket? By 'best', I mean the PS pump with perhaps correct metric fittings that the Toyota hose will connect to, a wide pulley, and the right offset. Or, is there such a beast?

Thanks - Steve

The crank HB is press on. This is an f engine on my 68 fj40. It takes a narrow belt, but my problem is the offset of the ps pulley. Plus, I'm not 100% sure I got the HB on all the way. (Ps, I ground off the hand crank lips and tapped the shaft for added security.)

Is it me or is your pulley on backwards?

Its on backwards. I'm just fitting things up for now. I modified a air pump bracket to fit the Volvo 240 ps pump. My problem is alignment with the outer HB pulley. Thanks
