Thanks broski! Lee, ive often wondered which song will be first. There are a few ways to look at that.
1. Theres going to be lots of test tones to calibrate the DSP and make sure there is no harmonic distortion on signal lines, also for setting crossovers and equalizers, after that adjusting gains on each of the amps. All of that is done with an oscilloscope, so youll never actually hear those test tones.
2. Im tossing around a few songs for the first song played to make sure everything sounds okay. Once all the settings are finalized there are things to consider, like recording quality for instance, and if there is “trash” in the song that could hurt the speakers at full volume.
3. Once EVERYTHING has been adjusted, vetted, and im comfortable to turn it up to 11, heres a couple songs id like to hear.
Ying Yang Twins, Long time.
UGK, How long can it last.
Usher, Climax
The Temptations, Papa was a rollin’ stone.
My ideal playlist contains a lot of older recordings that simply wont be able to play at full volume due to the quality, but they should be plenty loud anyway.
