Bump again. Any more reports of KO2 in 285/75/17 on 200??

I am about to pull a trigger on them and mount them on RWs. I think I am going to get them through Costco so if the fitment is a fail, I can return them easily.
Are you stock, or do you have a suspension lift?

Stock at present. I keep reading that with IFS lift does not really increase ability to handle larger diameter wheels.
At stock height, do yourself a favor and stick with the 285/70/17 size.

He is talking about 34's here, but they are still going to be an issue in a stock application.

Ha! You are too quick! I noticed my mistake and deleted that within like 30 seconds... :) But u beat me...

Little brain cramp since I just saw RWs and 35” KO2s for sale...

If you would like to upgrade the suspension sooner than later, you can go ahead and mount the tires and rims and use the rubbing as the excuse to the wife why you "have" to upgrade. :p

Now you’re gettin it!! :hillbilly:

I definitely plan on lifting, but was hoping to go with the tires first.

Be prepared to rub/hit plastic stuff...especially turning, while backing up or under compression.
Remove mud flaps...

Edit: And ya...like @Taco2Cruiser says below...
Tires are still gonna pass through the same rub zones with compression.
Plus, If you are prone to touching sway bars at full droop when turning, a lift will put you closer to your sway bars sooner (in a neutral position) after a lift too, since a lift pushes your tires down/inward as the lower control arms begin their arc toward down in even before compression post-lift. -Like a head-start toward full droop/down travel. :) That's why I'm not dying to crank my fronts any higher than necessary. Gives away available down travel relative to the truck's position when encountering holes, etc.

Just remember guys, lift doesn’t buy tire clearance... it just buys you time until a tire hits some part of the truck.

Testing a larger tire on stock suspension is a great way to begin to ensure you have proper clearance for road bumps.

Not even off-roading, just simply bouncing down a road will cycle your suspension 2-3”, which is about the same amount of lift we put on these 200. So test away, when stock.

That was my understanding. I believe the front flaps will have to go, which is not a problem.

Costco lets you return tires? I’m struggling with pulling the trigger on 285 75 17 on Rock Warriors with a Tough Dog lift. Internet says I should most likely be fine, but the shop that said the lift said that it would be very close, and even said keep an eye on my current tires when lowering psi. Being able to return them if they rub too much would give me piece of mind for sure.

Ok, I decided to play it safe. Going with 285/70/17. Looking at some of the pics in this thread it looks like 285/75/17 would likely create issues...

Aww man, where is the fun in that? J/K :p
The 285/70/17 will look great at stock height.
In my opinion, there is minimal impact to the way it will drive compared to the stock size.

Another data point on my '16:

My truck is at the shop now, they just mounted 285/75/17 ko2s to rock warriors with 1.25" spidertraxx spacers. It is rubbing the KDSS bar at full lock by a decent amount. Asking the shop to try to adjust the alignment to pull the wheel back a touch and off the KDSS. Don't want to have to use a KDSS relo bracket.

What side is it rubbing, driver/passenger/both? Are you still on stock UCAs?

Driver side KDSS. Pass side is fine. SPC UCAs. We have removed the mud flap and are trying to adjust the alignment to pull the wheel back and away from the KDSS.

I'm a little surprised you're having an issue given the spacers and running what is effectively a 18.25mm offset if I did my math correctly. I rub on the passenger side right at full lock (40mm offset w/ RGs). I believe Rob with RWs and .75" spacers (30.95 if my math is correct w/ BFGs) rubs a tiny on his driver at full lock. So I think you should be able to get the wheel positioned where any compromise is extremely minimal.

Edit: After seeing video, I think the spacer and the resulting offset is actually making the situation worse.

Had to remove the front mud flaps. It kisses the KDSS just slightly at full lock.

285/75/17 KO2s. 38psi. Spidertraxx 1.25” spacers. SPC UCAs.

FYI, true height of the tires is 32.75". BFG claims 33.9", so they're overstating by at least an inch.
